I was looking for something tonite (ok, it was my college yearbook) in a box of old books tonite and I totally surprised myself when I unearthed my Birnbaums Official Guide to Walt Disney World...FROM 1985!!

It has a shiney red cover, with a photo of Mr Birnbaum himself posing with the mouse! And in bright yellow letters it says "INCLUDES EPCOT CENTER".

I looked thru it..MK, Epcot, and River Country. I must have taken the guide with me on my vacation, because I had notes in there "Got stuck" "skipped" "ate here" and so on

Downtown Disney was the Walt Disney World Village, and there were NO CHARACTER MEALS! Can you imagine?

DisneyWorld sure has changed for the better since 1985! :sohappy:

Wow! That's pretty kool! I was going through stuff and came across old guide maps for the parks! It's neat to look at them! I bet the book is really neat to read.

It's really hard to find a place that serves a good bowl of grits up here in Albany. There used to be an old diner that did 'em up good, but the new chef can't seem to get it right....

hey, y'all (with the apostrophe properly placed :)), I work at a place that offers grits and okra, as well as turnip greens, black-eyed peas, and fried chicken gizzards.

But I'm a bad Southerner...I'd rather eat Asian food.
