My guess is it was a construction photo of when the Shanghai castle was almost complete.

In my opinion, the color looks strange.

It looks like a rendering, or drawing, not a photograph, hence the colored pencils. You can even see the same turrets drawn in. Here's a comparison...

It is an image from a 4D construction simulation, software that takes the 3D "blueprints" and allows you to map it out over time in order to better understand the construction sequencing and schedule.
