Yep. I would add it's one of the best coasters overall. It has great theming and is intense. Something most coasters don't have. Most coasters that are well themed are boring.
That would be all well and fine if this poll was not centered solely on theming. But it is. Well, anyway, I guess 3% of people agree with you.

Dollywood has a cute family coaster called Fire Chaser Express where you are in a fire engine, crash into a fireworks stand, a large firework explodes and you shoot backwards out of the fireworks stand back to the station. The queue takes you through a fire department outpost with lots of nods to preventing forest fires and the work of firemen.

Back pedal much?!

LMAO!
Interesting we’re calling it back pedaling and not your lack of critical reading. I never once said it was the best coaster in the world as it isn’t. Not the only thing you misread either sadly, but I triggered a bias or something within you. Disney will always be my favorite, troll on troll.

Odd to see you berating others for their votes as well like you’re on payroll. I guess you have to harass everyone until they agree with you. You don’t need our approval to be happy man! Happy Friday!

Although not on the list. My vote goes to Escape from Gringotts for overall theme. From the bank through the queue, the look of the actual cars, the ride, and even the exit - completely immersive. I think GotG Cosmic Rewind will be Disney's spin on this. Looking forward to it.

Keep on back pedaling, my friend! LMAO! According to the people voting in this poll, your beloved Universal’s VC is only the 7th best themed coaster in these 6 Florida parks, but according to you it is one of the best themed in the entire world. Gotcha. I guess you are right and EVERYONE else is wrong. Never mind the fact you have never even seen the coaster in person. I’ll trust first hand experience over google images! Hahahahaha!

By the way, among your many other reading comprehension deficiencies, me thinks you might want to look up the definition of the word “berating.”

Here’s the thing, if we’re going by best coaster then none of Disney’s make the cut, hence why I’m guessing it’s best themed as a question .

If we are going by best that would be the Maverick at Cedar Point. In fact Cedar Point’s “worst” coaster is light years beyond Disney’s best coaster.

Of course yours and others mileage may very.

(For me the worst is the Magnum XL 200, wanted to like it but underwhelming and way too rough of a ride for no apparent reason).

Well, “best” is totally subjective. Someone may like a coaster because it has the steepest drops or goes the fastest. Others may like a coaster because of the scenery and overall theming. The list can go on. You appear to judge a coaster based solely on “thrills,” which of course is totally fine. And I agree with you that if that was the criteria for this poll, the results would look markedly different.

But this poll is talking about theme and theme alone. And in that regard, in my opinion, it is laughable for anyone to say that VelociCoaster is one of the best themed coasters in the entire world. And what takes it from laughable to downright sad, is when the person insisting on that has literally only seen the coaster in pictures online. As we all know, seeing things in person versus seeing them online are two totally different things.

Which is a point I've made repeatedly here -- Disney isn't the place to go for huge, intense coasters. They are never going to be competitive in that market because they're already too far behind. I could go to a Six Flags 25 minutes from me and ride several coasters that are more intense than anything Disney offers, and that's true of other regional parks around the country.

It doesn't really make sense for them to chase that market and build rides that a significant portion of their main audience can't or won't ride, especially when it could actually detract from the park overall and turn off more guests. Something like Velocicoaster in Animal Kingdom would really screw up the theming of the park.

The fact that this poll & others opinions matter so much to you is a little scary. Disney does theming the best & we are on a Disney specific site, there no shock there. We all love Disney. No one is back peddling, it’s sad my opinion has had this much influence off on you to the point you’re responding to other members & bringing up my name indirectly in all of your responses. When I ride in December, it will still be one of the best themed coasters in the world, and that’s okay. I hope you don’t get triggered by that on a gorgeous weekend.

Berating: scold or criticize (someone) angrily. Which you’ve been doing to not only me & not only on this thread. Last time I’m feeding a faceless troll, tag me all you want again.

Back on topic, I voted BTM. I appreciate how much theming is basically a 360 for this ride & it’s filled with animatronics here and there. It’s just very Disney and I love it!

Totally agree with you. And to add to your point, I don’t believe Disney feels like this is even a problem for them. I mean, for the most part, their ride theming is second to none. And on top of that, they easily outdraw every other theme park in the world. To be sure, some people prefer rides that are nothing but thrills on top of thrills. But there are just as many if not more people who prefer other things, such as an immersive theming experience. Personally speaking, I enjoy both.

This poll is simply for fun. You’re the one way too bothered by it, I suppose because it exposed your position that VC is one of the best themed coasters in the world. Again, you’re free to feel that way, but maybe try actually seeing it before basing your entire opinion on google images. Just a suggestion. Also, you can disagree with everyone in this poll all you want, but the bottom line is you are in the vast, vast minority of people who think that VC is one of the best themed coasters out there. And I’m willing to bet that most if not all of these people have actually seen VC other than on their iPad.

As for your clear misunderstanding of the meaning of the word “berating,” show me one example of where I did this to anyone other than you in this thread. I’ll wait. I’m still waiting.

Look, I completely agree with you that Disney does theming better and Universal does thrill better. And that’s precisely why every trip I have taken for the last 2 decades has been one where we have been to both places.

Oh, and one last thing, I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of BTMR. Certainly not even close to the most thrilling ride, but as good as it gets when it comes to theming, IMHO.
