I actually just dropped into this thread to say that when I was scanning thread titles, I initially read this one as saying, "We're selling the kids today!" :lol:

I know a certain Illuminations cruise skipper who says that children who are left at WDW are actually redressed and placed in It's a Small World. But I didn't know they had a buy-back program, too...

What did I see on TV the other night? I think it might have been AFV -- the parents had the kids hold up signs and arrange the words into a sentence that read "We're going to Walt Disney World", or something like that. (Obviously the TV did not have my full attention at the time :hammer: )

It's too late at this point, but this is how I would do it:

Sit the kids down in front of the TV the night before you leave. Pop in the Vacation Planning DVD/video and after it's done ask them if it looked fun. When they say yes (they will, of course), tell them very matter-of-factly "Great. Go pack your bags, we're leaving tomorrow."

Make sure you have a camera ready, their expressions will be priceless.

You're right! Going to WDW certainly takes the edge off. We can at least act younger when we're there. Have a great time!
