can't wait to start booking trips with the little one!

i know it's not totally a disney topic. but, my wife and i have been trying for over 3 years, and one of many things that kept me from getting discouraged was the idea of trips to wdw with the little one.

don't want to bore anyone with background, but this will be our first baby together. i have two step children with her- boys 15 and 18, which i have raised for the last 10 years. now i'm gonna be a DADDY! my wife had a reversal done 3 years ago as well as many other procedures since then. she's a trooper to say the least!

i'm just soooo excited to make those first few trips!!!! i'm even planning one for about the 7 1/2 month mark. i've always told my wife that i want pictures of her in wdw when she's noticeably pregnant. maybe even some mickey ears on her belly! :D

thanks for listening! i just need to tell everyone!! :sohappy::sohappy:

and if you see me there in late september/ early october taking pic after pic of my expecting wife, it's probably me, he he.

congratulations!

i took my wife and my three yr old step son last april for our first time...it was amazing! before we left, two days to be exact we found out she was pregnant with my first child! it was a memorable trip, and on our first night while in the world of disney store in dwntn disney, i told her we were having a girl...i saw all the little princesses running around with thier makeup and princess dresses on and i knew thats what i wanted...lol....then a couple nights later on the bus back to our resort, we came up with the name, sophia elizabeth! fast forward to today, sophia is almost 3 months old and although were bypassing going to wdw this yr cause she will be so tiny still, i already have her watching playhouse disney etc....so our next trip (april/may 2012) she will be almost 1 1/2 and ready to go.....
congrats again and may many disney memories be around the corner~

That is amazing news. Congrats to you and your wife. Babies are a blessing. (I just delivered my 3rd son 11 days ago.:sohappy:)

My oldest has been to Disney 3x (at age 2, 3 and 4). Each time was amazing for him, as well as for my hubby and I. His face was priceless!!

I have also been to Disney pregnant. Just keep your wifey verrrry hydrated. I thought I was drinking a lot of water but then at Animal Kingdom, needed to hit first aid to rest for an hour after being dehydrated. Remember there are also rides she should not go on, as well. When in doubt, don't go on it. :)

Congrats and good luck to you!!

Congratulations, that's so exciting!!!! I am currently pregnant and due next month. I know exactly what you mean with wanting to take the baby to Disney (I get teary eyed just thinking about it!) We're planning her first trip this coming December, so she'll be right around 7 months. I didn't do a Disney name, but I included some special Disney touches in my maternity pics (I have my Chip and Dale, Mickey and Minnie plush hanging out in the background of one of the pics and we got a pic of the baby's name spelled out in blocks with Baby Minnie sitting next to them!) Her nursery is Alice in Wonderland themed and we're doing an Alice in Wonderland "Meet the Baby Shower" after she's here :) You should check out the Disney store for baby Mickey ears (they have them in pink and blue) for your pictures. So cute!! :)

I had to stop by & say congratulations! Your post brought tears to my eyes, as I have been in a tough situation w/trying to have a baby as well! I could totally relate when you said that Disney trips were tough on you without little ones.

I was pregnant last year, and we'd planned a Disney trip to celebrate. I miscarried before the trip, but we went anyways (bad idea.) I sort of boycotted all things Disney this year, and after a year, became pregnant again. So we planned another celebration trip this May, and hope this one is actually a celebration!

I am SO thrilled to hear that you have had success with your wife in becoming pregnant! I'm sure your little one will grow up loving Disney :)

We have an Eli "Elias"! And we visited multiple times while I was pregnant with #2 and #3. It was a blast, but...yes it is tiring! Hope that you enjoy each and every minute, moment and memory!!!

We had quite a scare during our pregnancy with our little one so I feel your fear. I will keep you and yours in my prayers.
