That's a lot of width to use for one browser. We stop at 1200px, which gives a lot of screen space to the site, and leaves you plenty of space to do something else on screen. The layout just doesn't look good stretching beyond 1200px.

I never run a webpage at that size since as you can see it leaves a lot of empty space. I usually run it around the same width as you would a 1080p screen. I would hate to see what the 5k iMac would look like.

I am viewing on a 23" @ 1920 x 1080 and it is full view and I drug it over to my laptop display which is 15" @ 1366 x 768 and it is also full view.

I wanted to add that viewing on my Samsung Galaxy S4 is great. So much better than before. Much easier navigating.

edit: I wasn't paying any attention to blank area on either side:oops::facepalm:. So since I was blind to it before then I guess that it does not bother me. Would be nice if the boarders were a color beside white to add some contrast and tone down page.

No native Android app is planned. But we have extensively tested the website offerings on all flavors of Android, so you should be getting a good WDWMAGIC experience through your web browser.

I check this website a lot and it's all thanks to twitter but I sometimes miss posts because I just follow a lot of people on twitter. Please create an app for android as well. I would love to get alerts or have an easier way to check the content.

I appreciate all the hard work it took to redesign the site and REALLY appreciate you explaining the reason (making it consistent across platforms). I realize I'm going against the grain here, but I really don't like it. It looks similar to what ESPN did to their site, which I now hate. I generally hate using my phone unless I absolutely have to for several reason including that I hate mobile sites. It makes sense given your reason for changing that the redesign would look more like a mobile site. Maybe I'll get used to, but just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

Just a quick plug for the menu section. Absolutely outstanding. The ability to view past menu is great. To be able to rate individual dishes is inspired.

Really looking forward to see the result of individual dishes start to pile up.

On an iPhone 5s running iOS 8.4 Public Beta I have noticed that the "Watched Threads" button disappears after Marking Forums Read. Sometimes it loads late, other times it doesn't show. I end up clicking "New Posts" but get sent to "Watched Threads" since the button shows to the far left.

This isn't so much a comment on the new site, but more that I'm finally mentioning something that has bugged me for a while and has not changed on the new site.

I have wished for some time that the mobile site would include a "Go to first unread" button with the page number buttons at the top (and bottom) of each thread. This is present on the desktop version (old and new), but not on the mobile version (old or new).

If I have been keeping up with a thread this is not a problem because the site automatically sends me to the first unread post. But if I have not been to that thread for some longish space of time (finally some new aerial photos, resurrection thread bump, I decided to care about it again, whatever) then the site apparently assumes I need to start over and sends me to page 1. On the desktop site I just hit "Go to First Unread" and I am there. But I never see that button on my mobile device so it is a pain to find out what I have read and what I haven't.

In case it is a platform thing my mobile device is a 4th gen iPod touch running Safari under iOS 5.
You're not alone.

I didn't really read through the whole thread so this may have been mentioned, but one thing thats a bit weird that I was suggested to report was that on the new tab page on my phone, the wdwmagic icon shows xenForo, the forum software

The issue is this - I'm looking at real time visitor stats right now, and there are 54% of users on mobile, and 46% on desktop. As a web developer, mobile can no longer be ignored or put on the back burner. It is now primary, and has to be given as much attention as desktops. Sites that do not do this will die.

Looks good on the Dell Windows tablet. Minor issue, but harder to see bold text for a thread that has been updated. Different font?

I like the new front page, and most of the style changes in the Forum are ok. The one problem I have is that there isn't as much contrast between the font on the read and un-read threads as there used to be.

Look for the blue dot for unread threads.

Did the site update the Live selection for new posts? Becuase it usually doesn't update unless you post you're own post.

One minor thing I found is brightness settings, are there other themes, something of a more subdued brightness like it had before ? This is just a little too bright for me unless I am missing something somewhere

Also saw mention of a iOS app, perhaps one for Android ? {I currently have Android 4.0.4, almost everything is Android 4.0.1 or newer} If you do make an App for Android devices, I will gladly aid in testing!
