Making 200 on one of my yard sales is doing great. Do you have to buy a permit to have a garage sale? We do 16 dollars for a 2 day yard sale and then we can only have one 3 times a yr. :hammer: Sometimes it is hardly worth having them. Some crazy people were having them every weekend. Ruin it for the rest of us.:brick:

No, thankfully, we don't live inside the corporation limit, so I don't have to mess with that nonsense. But it cost me about $25 to run the ad last week, and I need to write a new add for this week, plus paying a babysitter for Friday. When I subtract all that from my profit, I have about half of it left.

I don't run ads (they don't pay for themselves here) I make posters and put them on street corners. (the city is starting to get strict about those now :hammer: ) SA really don't want you to have yard sales anymore. They look too trashy.:lookaroun Well I say what is one man's trash is another man's treasure.:sohappy:

Exactly. When my grandpa passed, an auction was held of his personal property. He had this lamp whose base was a large garish ceramic rooster. Ugly as sin. IMO, worth about 25 cents. That thing was in the middle of a bidding war.
Now, I have seen some places where you can tell that what they have has been sitting in an attic or basement for years and they just put it out there w/out checking its condition or anything. I always try to check the condition of everything I put out there.

As I set it up I look at things. I have it all boxed up in the gargage. Then when I pack it up I go though it again. I take what I don't want to keep to Goodwill. Most of it is still good stuff.

I'm not going to be on much this week either......Mom arrives in about an hour and a half, then we have DS' graduation tomorrow. Mom goes back Wednesday, then we tackle cleaning DS' room before the health department condemns it! If you don't hear from me by Saturday, look under the massive pile of laundry!

we have a room like that here 2, but 2 girls share it. :brick:

I'm not sure. I have heard people say they have seen it. But they are sooooo cute. I have a picture I can post of them.
Ooo, I would love to see them! What "height" are they, can you tell?
