I think it is time for someone to lock this thread...it is getting nowhere, plus it doesn't involve Walt Disney World...the video is from Disneyland PARIS!!! Thanks!

If you believe the thread should be locked hit the

button, otherwise I suggest that you quit jumping down peoples throats because you got confused!

And..... I think you need to apologize to happymom52003, but that's just me.

This is an OLD story. I deleted the link way back when, and will do it again.

I don't appreciate all of the arguments back and forth, either, so cut it out.

Were the CM's wrong for doing this? Maybe. But then again, who's to say? It appears that it was all done in good fun and mainly (possibly) bordum. I think we can all agree that it may have been tasteless in some degree, the number of degree is left to the individual themselves. Should they have not been doing this? I say no, it's their choice to do something like this.

I used to work in Tomorrowland attractions, if I could have taped half of the stuff that went on, I'd have a great movie! The main point is this: It happened backstage. It was not intended for anyone to see except the CM's involved. No children were harmed physically or mentally by seeing this. Nor were any adults.

I think we should keep in mind that this type of behavior happens at just about all types of jobs all over the world almost daily.

But those are just my two cents,

Thank God video cameras, etc didn't exist when I was young and clueless about inappropriate behavior behind the scenes. :o

By no means do I think this incident was some horrible crime, but I do think they deserved to be fired. And honestly, if these would have been non disney characters, it probably would not have bothered me...in fact I probably would have laughed at it. But Disney characters are sacred to me!

You said you did no judging, but your above quote shows you did. Just because they are Disney characters you assume that they should be held to a higher standard than someone at Six Flags portraying Bugs Bunny? Also, you judged that they deserved to be fired...which they were.

Unfortunately they were wrongly fired, as they did nothing more than blow off some steam at work, which we all do in some way. The only one who should have been fired was the cameraman/woman as they were filming backstage which is a clear violation of Disney rules at any Disney park.

As for editing my post, I meant to add to it but I cleared it by accident. Nothing more sinister than that...

This video is old. This was taken at Disney Paris. Some of the CM were tired of this behavior backstage so they video taped some of the CM's behavior and fowarded it to the managers. The CM were disoplined for this. (Not sure if they were fired, demoted, etc.) It's just a bunch of teenagers messing around. I don't approve of this behavior since you're acting this way on the job.

But the stories I heard from other people who works and use to work at DLR and WDW...this is pretty tame.

Okay, i was just going to leave this alone but when someone continues to misquote me, put words in my mouth, take things out of context, and twist my words around, I think I have the right to defend myself.

"Just because they are Disney characters you assume that they should be held to a higher standard than someone at Six Flags portraying Bugs Bunny?"
I said that it bothered me to see disney characters acting like this because of the way I feel about these characters....the CHARACTERS. Not the cms playing them. It would not bother me to see bugs bunny doing this because I could care less about bugs bunny. I never said anything about holding anyone to higher standards. It was the images that bothered me. Again, my whole complaint is that they did this on TAPE. How many times do i have to point out that I could care less what they do behind closed doors??

Also, you judged that they deserved to be fired...which they were.
yes I did state that i thought that they deserved to be fired. But what you left out is that I said they deserved to be fired IF they were doing this in public or knew they were being taped. I specifically stated I could care less what they do behind closed doors. The reason I feel that they should be fired because I am pretty sure disney has rules about things such as this regarding how characters should behave in public or on tape.

The only one who should have been fired was the cameraman/woman as they were filming backstage which is a clear violation of Disney rules at any Disney park.
And acting that way on tape is NOT a violation of disney rules?

As for editing my post, I meant to add to it but I cleared it by accident. Nothing more sinister than that.
Sorry, but i dont buy that.

Now can you please find another poster to pick on if you must? ALthough you may not have a choice because I have a feeling this thread will be locked soon, which I think would be a good idea. And by the way, thanks unkadug for taking up for me.
