Weird question...

Hi all :wave:

Kind of a weird question, but does anyone know what Universal's policies are on wearing a camera case on your belt loop or putting a camera in your pocket during a ride?
We know they want you to use the lockers, but do you think we can do this as an alternative?

We're trying to avoid using the lockers this time around, but we still want to bring a camera. We're thinking maybe we can get away with wearing the camera case on a belt loop. The camera and case are fairly small.

I don't know the policy - but if its small and fits comfortably onto your belt then I see no problem - there would also be no comeback if you're advised to use a locker and it falls free while on the ride.

You should have no problem as long as the camera isn't huge and you can sit down on the rides without it bothering you. I have ridden all the rides there with a camera and a cellphone on my belt loop without having anything said to me.

I recommend using the lockers for everything you have (wallets, keys, sunglasses, loose change, small camera bags, etc.). I have not had to pay for any locker in my time as an AP holder (over 2 years) or on any visit for that matter, but then again I use the single rider lines a lot. Of course, it is up to you but if you don't want to risk it, put it in the locker.

Certain attractions seem to be tougher on the rules than others. Mummy, use a locker. They will deny you a ride for ANY loose article.
The lockers are also free. Recently at HRRR we used a free locker and returned after the free time had expired because the queue took so long. Upon simply explaining the issue to a TM, they overrode the fee and just gave us our stuff.
