Disney’s Fairy Tale Resort and Spa
Intro - This is a luxury hotel which is themed after a large castle and kingdom. 700 rooms are available starting at $550 per night. Located on Imagination Lake the hotel includes its own 3 mast sailing ship as well as multiple themed restaurants and Royal Dining experiences. The resort is comprised of three distinct sections which are Rainbow Lagoon, Enchanted Forest and Fairy Tale Kingdom. Water taxi’s are available for transportation to Disney Village and Magic Trams to Disney Village, Geyser Point and the Imagineering Center.
Fairy Tale Kingdom
This is the main area of the resort. Themed to look like a fairy tale castle it towers above the rest of the resort hotel. You enter over a bridge and through 30 foot tall doors into the main lobby. The lobby is 4 stories tall while following the theme of the hotel with suites of armor and large stained glass windows framed by 2 enormous fireplaces.
Rooms
Every one of the 100 rooms in this section are large suites. They can house between 4 and 10 people depending on the size of the suite. They are themed to old victorian castle style with the modern touches hidden. Each room will include a large balcony, sitting area, and between 2 - 4 bedrooms each with its own full bathroom.
Restaurants
There are 2 signature restaurants as well as a higher capacity restaurant just past the lobby.
The first signature restaurant is the Royal Banquet which serves delicious meals in an elegant atmosphere while the Disney Princesses come and greet you for an extended interaction as you enjoy your meal. This is an exclusive formal dinning experience and serves very few per seating with 2-3 seatings per night. Cost ranges for 50-100 dollars per person.
The second signature restaurant is the Royal Dreams dinner show. Guest sit in a large theater where waiters serve an all you can eat medieval style buffet. While enjoying dinner Mickey Mouse will put on a show showing Disney characters achieving there dreams. 2-3 shows per night depending on the season. Cost 35 dollars a person to attend.
The high capacity restaurant is The Grand Dinning Hall which serves quick less expensive meals throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner are offered. Cost is 10-30 dollars a person.
Activities
On the lake front there are several small shops as well as the entrance to the the Fantasy Spa. The area is themed to look like a quaint European village within the castle walls. In the center of the lakefront is the 3 masted tall ship USS Constitution. Right next to the Constitution is the Ferry boat dock for transportation to Disney Village.
The USS Constitution is a replica of the actual three masted ship frigate launched in 1797. The ship can sail using wind power or using a Bio-diesel engine on board. The ship is used for pirate excursions, dinner cruises, fireworks cruises and special events such as weddings.
Rainbow Lagoon
This is the right wing of the resort. Themed to the castle walls surrounding a large beautiful lagoon feature pool area overlooking Imagination Lake. The lagoon pool area is all sand bottom and includes large waterfalls as well as a 3 story water slide.
Rooms
300 rooms that can house up to 5 people are located here on 4 levels. They are standard hotel rooms with a balcony, 2 beds and a full bathroom. The rooms all have the victorian castle style theme with modern touches hidden. All rooms have a view of Imagination lake or the lagoon pool.
Lagoon Pool
A large pool themed to a large waterfall lagoon with views onto Imagination Lake. The entire pool is sand bottom and includes features such as zero depth entry, waterfalls, whirlpools and underwater water jets. A 30 foot tall large rock formation is the main feature and includes the main waterfall and the main water slide.
Enchanted Forest
This is the left wing of the resort. Similar to Rainbow lagoon it is themed to castle walls surrounding a forest. The forest provides a quite place of relaxation.
Rooms
300 rooms on 4 levels that are identical to the rooms in the rainbow lagoon. Rooms have a view of the forest or Imagination Lake.
Enchanted Forest Treehouses
A series of buildings hanging from the trees of the enchanted forest. The tree houses provide a very relaxing atmosphere with great views.
