I know that there is no crystal ball ,no one knows for how long these will be needed...but at a guess do you think they will still be a requirement next summer?

You kinda just answered it yourself honestly. I really couldn’t guess at all. I want to say there’s a chance that leads into next summer, but things change very quickly.

Though I’m still sticking to my thoughts about how theme parks will take longer to get back to normalcy, meaning they may have masks a little longer than others, that is, if they want to play it safe. Places like Seaworld will probably one of the first to let masks go when the time is right. Universal and Disney, not sure.

When Disney sees all the others start relaxing precautions. I expect Disney wont want to lead in this and will be happy to let everyone else take the first chances. Theyre not going to want the bad publicity of being the ones in the industry to be blamed for bad results. My hopeful guess will be by next Fall... but I only play at being a leading pandemic specialist on TV.

No one knows, but as far as theme parks are concerned, it looks like Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando are leading the way. Any change or relaxation of rules will probably be seen there first.

This whole thing is guesswork.

Possibly, but, I wouldn't be real sure of that.

I'm assuming nobody is going to give you a problem for eating. Not that I advocate it. But let's just say I buy a "Mickey Preztel". And take a few bites. Then I decide to walk around the park for the next few hours with my half eaten Mickey Pretzel. Any CM that questioned me would get "Hey, I'm eating a pretzel" - and they would be on their way..

I mention this because - I plan to keep up to rule as much as I can - factoring in 90 degree/100%humidity weather. But if it gets too hot I will pull my mask off. I'm just positing a scenario whereby if somebody wanted to spend $5 on a pretzel, or a beer at EPCOT, even a turkey leg in various parks - there are ways they can get around this rule.

They're only a requirement to get into a park. Once you plop down the finger and band - you can do what you want.
Very wrong. Disney has been extremely clear and blunt about the requirements. Cast Members are being instructed to enforce mask wearing the whole time and if a guest is resistant, they will be removed from the park. There is no wiggle room. Those who throw a fit will see consequences quickly. Which is exactly the way it should be. If people are too fussy and whiny to follow the rules and wear masks consistently, they do not deserve to be in the park and need to stay home. And if someone is not wearing one, I hope every other person there pushes them out of the way, removes them from line, and shames them until they either put their mask on or are removed. They aren't following the rules, so they shouldn't expect any rules or policies to protect them, either.

So you are admitting to being weak, non-compliant, careless, thoughtless, and unwilling to actually follow rules simply because they are inconvenient to you? I hope people jump in line in front of you, push in front of you to get in rides, and get the last of every single thing you want before you can get your hands on it.

None of the above. What I am saying is: THE POLICY IS FLAWED.

The plan is to take your photo with a big happy smile as you enter the park and then at every photo pass and ride photo it will be incepted over the mask face. This way, the masks can go on indefinatly.

So if someone gets out of line its :"The guy with mask and blue hat, the blonde haired girl with the mask, the kid with the mask". - This is going to end well.

I remain cautiously optimistic, based on the statements of many of the experts, that we will have a vaccine by the beginning of 2021. In addition, there are already some therapeutics that are proving to have positive results in properly controller clinical studies with published, peer reviewed results. Therefore, I'm also confident that by next summer, we will have much better options available for treating patients. Take those things combined with the fact that our society as a whole is already chomping at the bit to move on.

In short, no, I don't expect to see any sort of restrictions in place anywhere at all by the summer of 2021. For better or worse, COVID-19 or not, I think we will be back to business as usual by then. Not just at Walt Disney World but everywhere.
