The music of HEA. The pyro may be the same or different. TBH, I wouldn’t know the difference, but I’ll be so happy to hear that song again.

We will get to see Enchantment in a few weeks though.
I imagine the pyro will be similar, with some changes to include projections on Main Street and lasers that they installed the tech for Enchantment. If they're bringing back the music, the fireworks have to align with it.

I'm more excited for a Harmonious replacement. I know I've said it many times, but that was extremely dull and boring. The music wasn't that good. There was absolutely no story or narrative. The night I saw it was the night they streamed it live on Disney+ when Idina Menzel and other artists sang their parts live. And that didn't even help.

However, as I said in the other thread, I'm skeptical with whatever they're replacing it with. They've hit on exactly 1 of their past 5 nighttime shows (HEA being a hit; Enchantment, Harmonious, Rivers of Light, and whatever DHS' show is called being busts).

Also, they need to bring back the MSEP or Spectromagic. Or add a nighttime, lighted parade again.

Kind of an uneventful day today. Watched the Queen’s cortège, watched D23 Parks Panel, went down to the pool for 2-3 hours, and then heated leftovers for supper.

There is a small bird under one of our gravity chairs. I don’t know if it’s hurt or injured. Every time I check on it, it’s breathing. Looks to be shallow breathing, but maybe that’s just how birds breathe.

We had supper, I took the pup for a walk, and checked on the bird, honestly expecting it to either be gone, or be “gone”. Neither was the case. Still there, in more or less the same position, but facing a slightly different direction.

I set out a bowl of water, but I don’t feel good about its chances. Please Lord, let it have flown away before morning … but its relatively static position for 4+ hours doesn’t make me feel too optimistic. Sigh. Poor birdie.

Well thank you Lord, the bird is gone. I did a quick look-see underneath all the vehicles, and didn’t see it. I thought I heard a weak cheep, but that might just be in my head. I’ll get Mike to check the tops of the slides just to be sure.

You must admit though, it’s weird for a bird to remain inert for four+ hours in such close proximity to people … and a dog. Like less than 2’ feet away. I also got within inches of it with a flashlight multiple times to check if it was breathing.

Anyway, so far, so good.

I'm guessing lizard lunch.

She would rather I not sprinkle her with cold water droplets. I would rather she not die. Compromises.

I've read that dogs release heat through their paws. (They don't sweat through their skin, so sprinkling water may not help as much as we'd think, because humans do sweat through skin.)

Looking at Daisy, she's resting in the shade, and has a nice water bowl next to her. She'll be o.k. :)

We put her in the a/c for a bit.

From the interwebz:
“Dogs have sweat glands in their paw pads but release excess heat primarily by panting. Brachycephalic or flat-faced dog breeds have more difficulty taking in enough air to cool themselves down by panting. Flat-faced dogs such as pugs, Boston terriers, French bulldogs, English bulldogs and shih tzus are more sensitive to heat because they suffer from brachycephalic airway syndrome (BAS).

These types of dogs have small nasal openings and long soft palates in the back of their mouths, which limits airflow. They also have a narrower windpipe and have to work harder to take in enough air to keep themselves cool.”

Tonight was a swim all day, eat early (for us), catch the sunset, and watch the Jays kind of day.

Mike took this pic. He liked the blue of the sky.

Supper was chicken, sausage, and two kinds of salad. The chicken was okay, the sausage was phenomenal!
