WDWmazprty's TR 9/5-9/12/09 Boy, we had fun!!!

WDWmazprty's TR 9/5-9/12/09 The TR IS FINALLY DONE! Boy, we had fun!!!

We got back today and we are exhausted! But so happy! We had a blast at the World! Of course we didn't want to come back. It was myself, DW-Veronica(Auroragirl), DD-Keilani 7, DD-Raquel 2, and my mom and dad. I took a bunch of pics as you'll see. My camera is digital, but still not as fancy as some other people on here have. So forgive me if some of the pics came out dark and whatnot. We had so much fun, that we took advantage of the bounceback offer for next year! So if everything goes well, we'll be back Sept. 19-25 at Pop w/free dining! :sohappy:

Well, here we go. Enjoy the TR!!!!!!

Friday, September 4

Woke up at 3:40AM… Ready to hit the road!! At 4:00 we woke up the girls. Went to our oldest girls’ (Kei) bed, and told her to get up because we were leaving. After about 30 seconds, My DW (Auroragirl) said again, “Wake up! We’re going to Disney World!” That got her attention. She sat up, confused, and said “What? Really?” When she realized we weren’t joking, she got out of bed jumping up and down. We saw that the baby was awake, but didn’t move from the bed yet. She went to the bed and asked if she wanted to go to Disney World… and she too got up and started dancing. They were so excited. Kei just couldn’t believe that we had kept it a secret from her. It was so exciting! By 4:15 we were all strapped in the car and on I-24. Once in the car we gave the girls a few gifts we had gotten for them… ear hats, Disney t-shirt, glow sticks and autograph books. By 5am they were finally back asleep. By 11:00am we were just passing Macon, GA and got our first set of “Are we there yet?” from Kei. Stopped for lunch… and on the road again! Finally got to DeLand (approx 30 miles outside of Orlando) around 5pm. Good drive… made good time. Spent the rest of Friday and all of Saturday with family.

Sunday, September 6

We were all up by 6am. Just too excited to get going! Got ready for our drive to WDW Pop Century Resort. Got there at 7am, checked in, got all our information and our Keys To The World!!! We got in line about 7:10 and were out about 7 minutes later… if you can do online check-in; I definitely recommend. Once done with that, we got in line for the bus to Magic Kingdom!!!

Got off the bus and walked straight into the Magic Kingdom. Took a few pictures outside… just the girls and a family pic. Got our “Happy Anniversary” pins!

We had reservations at 8:00am at Crystal Palace. What a great breakfast. We met Winnie Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. Raquel was so excited to meet them, but when she saw them up close, she wasn’t that excited any more!

After breakfast, I went to get Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mountain as we walked to Adventureland and got in line (absolutely no wait, mind you) for Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Raquel’s first ride!!! She loved it! Here is a picture of her with her grandfather, and Kei with grandma.

Then walked to Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Again, NO WAIT!!! We got in line, and were the next ones to board the boat – in the front row – and they closed the ride. Something wasn’t working right. (This ride did not open again until EMH that evening!) So we met Wendy, Captain Hook, and Smee from “Peter Pan”.

Next ride… Splash Mountain! Always a favorite. Wait time of about 5-7 minutes… and most of that time we were walking through the queue. Veronica stayed with Raquel in the Laughing Place. Disney is the only place you can have a lollipop for a snack at 10 o’clock in the morning!

Next… Big Thunder Mountain with our Fast Passes in hand… and they closed it! It ran a few times (maybe twice) then it closed down for whatever reason. So, what do we do? Get back on Splash
Mountain!!! Now it was time for the Tiki Room. Wait time of about 10 minutes. The baby loved the music and danced practically the whole time. Even though, I’m still not very happy with this being “under new management”. I think they should go back to how it was before. Oh well…

The Jungle Cruise was next.. Enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Chris, was hilarious! Here he is literally pointing out his favorite plants. “This one and that one” as he said!!!

Haunted Mansion! Followed by Philharmagic – which the baby LOVED! And IASW, Peter Pan and Cinderella’s Carousel.

We went to “Tinker Bells Treasures” store and Kei got to ring the bell and call for Tinker Bell.

Ariel’s Grotto was next where the girls got to cool off a bit.

Jon went to get FP’s for Winnie the Pooh ride and we got a ‘Special Fast Pass’ for PhilharMagic! Since we had already seen it, we gave the FP’s to another family at the park. Got on Winnie Pooh… another favorite for Raquel.

Next, County Bounty in Toontown

… where we met 3 fairies; Silvermist, Tinker Bell and Fawn.

Magic Carpets one more time… and then dinner and Cosmic Rays. Then found a good spot for SpectroMagic and Wishes. (No pictures of any of these… I can’t believe it!) When we got to our room (around 11pm) we found out that we were the Pop Century Housekeeping Family of the Day and received a magnet and a special photo pass for 20% off any order we make using Photo Pass!

Next was Finding Nemo: The Musical. WONDERFUL!! Great! Absolutely loved it! Then Dinosaur and Triceratop Spin for Raquel. The most we waited all day was for ‘Finding Nemo’ show. Around 4:00 we left to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at Boma! Beautiful resort. Too bad my camera didn’t capture the real beauty of this resort. Here are 2 pics

Dinner at Boma was great; different cuisine and very unique. After dinner… back to Magic Kingdom! First ride Pirates! And we finally got on. Here is a picture of the girls after the ride with their grandfather…
