This could be fun, Grizz, but somebody, ummmmm, smarter than me would have to figure out how to work it. Like Disney related challenges of some sort. But I don't know about voting people out... that could hurt feelings. This will require some thought.
Eligibility: Just have everybody who wants to participate chime in here, and then have an impartial "mod" select 16 (or however many are desired) names out of a hat.
Immunity: Come up with rather challenging Disney-related trivia quesions, Net info searches, "Where is it?" pics, etc., and grant immunity to the first player to post correctly in the game thread.
Voting: Have a pre-determined pool of judges (maybe everyone who posted their name originally, but wasn't picked OR all of the players in the game) send their elimination votes to the "mod," who then does the tallying and announces (without revealing votes) who is booted.
Sounds like a good idea, Grizz. Maybe we can have several teams...no need to limit to 2 teams or 16 people like Survivor. They have to get down to the sole survivor within a tv season...we dont have to worry about that
I was actually kinda waiting around hoping for somebody to mention this. I like the ideas for the challenges, but we still need to have some sort of interaction among each other (ala the Wrestling Promotion) for it to capture the true spirit of Survivor. Alliances can be formed, ect., let's make it interesting and put it all out in the open. That way reading it feels a bit like watching the show. I would be all for it... but who would play Jeff Probst?
Count me in too! I think that if we do have the challenges where we have to answer questions, that we would have to e-mail the answers to who ever poses the question and they can say who won immunity.
Step 1. Planning committee. I am not all too familiar with the show, I admit. . . so I guess step 1 is to find out the judges? and I guess keep adding your name until next weekend, and we'll add a player list then.
Now, a couple of questions for everyone (or the judges) to decide. Are we going to have two tribes? How about their locations (ie, where in the resort will they live)? Are alliances going to be made on the boards of in PM's? These are questions that need to be answered so that we all have a better understanding of what is going on.
And I like the idea of immunity challenges being done through emails. Whoever is going to be the host will have some work cut out for them on this.
