WDWMAGIC Meet at Disneyland July 17, 2009

Hello

I know that many "regulars" never read the Disneyland forum, I rarely do. So I'll try this here and then might post in other forums as well.

I'm currently planning my first ever trip to Disneyland to celebrate the 54th birthday of Walt's park.

I've been to WDW several times and worked there from Jan-Aug 2005 and May-Aug 2007. However, I've never been to Disneyland.

I was thinking that it would be great if we could plan a WDWMAGIC meet for that day since the theme for the year is "What will you Celebrate?" We could all get together and celebrate Disneyland's birthday.

So I'd like to try and get a general idea of how many people have Disneyland AP's and could come, people who already know they'd be there, and people who might come just because they have 6 months to make plans and would like to be there to celebrate.

I hope to make this work.

It's too bad the "meet" couldn't be a day or two later.

I'll be in Disneyland July 19-21, 2009 - our (now) annual pre-San Diego ComiCon pilgrimage.

Here's hoping DCA will be at least partially open at that time.

Well, I've officially booked my flight. Got a good rate with Priceline.

Leaving Albany, NY on July 14
Returning from LA on July 21.

Hoping to get a meet going at Disneyland on July 17.

Normally I would be all over that, but I am out of town for a wedding. I almost never miss saying happy birthday to my park, so I am sad about it. I'll be in the parks the night of the 21st, so I'll just miss seeing you.
