Glad you found us!

We're 'WDWMAGIC', all one word. That could have been the problem. It's also possible that since it was just released to the Apple Store it has not fully propagated to all of Apple's iTunes servers. So depending which one serves your search request, it may not appear.

If anyone is having any problems finding it, you can head to http://www.wdwmagic.com/mobile.htm for a direct link.

Understood.

I am now responding via my iPod Touch! Woo-hoo.

Don't know if this means less trouble at work (for less use of our work internet) or more trouble (for more time on iPod)! LOL.

I reviewed you also on the app store!

:sohappy: Thank you! (if it was a good review) - You're banned! (if it was a bad review) ;) LOL

Two issues: Landscape that's already been mentioned and in-forum navigation. When viewing a forum thread, there doesn't appear to be any "Back" button, once you're into a thread, you either go to "New posts" every time or exit to "More" and reload the whole forums.

Overall, I like the app. Ready access current info is great.

No Android Apps are currently in development from us. This app took us a year to build, and at the moment we don't have the resources to start on another platform. We chose Apple because it has the largest user base, and happens to be the device that we use here. This may change in the future, but at the moment we are focussed on Apple.

The mobile site does work on Android, and that is available at http://mobile.wdwmagic.com
This is a great start, and let me say that I completely understand the amount of effort and time that goes into making something like this. But unfortunately, that fact is no longer correct. The Android platform is the second biggest in the world (behind only Symbian which is exiting the market). Android had a 22.7% market share in 2010 as opposed to apple's 15.7%. And the final quarter of 2010, android doubled apple's 16% to 33%. Again, I completely understand the hassles (and say 'good job' on the new app), but I just wish this common misconception of iOS being #1 would go away.

I should have qualified "largest user base" as being within WDWMAGIC. We look at the stats generated by visitors to our mobile site over the last year, and Apple iOS has the largest percentage of users by some margin.

There are all kinds of facts and figure that both Apple and Android use to argue who is on top (a new report comes out almost daily - see this one from Jan 2011 ranking iOS first in the USA http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-20026975-37.html), but for us, the use of real world data from WDWMAGIC stats, and the fact that however you look at it, iOS is MASSIVELY popular and has a gigantic userbase, it's the platform we chose to go with.

Currently the best way to navigate the forum is to use the breadcrumb trail near the top of the screen

the one that says: WDWMAGIC.COM Forums > Walt Disney World > WDW Parks News and Rumors >

That lets you move through the threads and boards easily.

We are looking at improving the nav though.

The landscape issue is also under development.

iTunes will look after it all for you, it isn't a big deal to upgrade at all.
Only if I kept all my music in iTunes. Which...I don't. And only if I hadn't renamed all of the files and made corrections on the iPod but not to the source files. Last time I did a system format update, I lost every single bit and had to redo it all. :( I'm just not willing to do that much work a second time.

Having a few issues with typing in the main message area when I am replying to a thread. I am only able to send this message through the Safari browser & mobile discussion site. The new App's discussion forum only allows me to access the message title bar and the "Additional options" area below the main message area. I cannot select the message body area and I can't 'tab' to the message body from the title bar. I have tried uninstalling the app and restarting the phone. Note that I have an iPhone 4 with the most recent iOS.

Otherwise the rest of the app is great.

The breadcrumb trail shows the location of the thread, but I use the "New Posts" search to find threads I need to catch up on, breadcrumbs won't take me there.

It's not the end of the world by any means, Safari works fine for that.

Two fixes I hope for.

Decreased auto boot off. It happens at least 2x a week where I get signed off during a post. Half of those times it loses my post. Then I abandon the site for a few days.

Compressed screen size. I hate typing sideways on my phone and the site is just too wide to hold right sometimes.

Thanks Steve.

We're working on something better for the next version which will be available soon.

I just downloaded the app! I had the ride counter, but had to take it off because it was too depressing to look at the number always at 0 since I don't live next door anymore. Gotta say though, this app will be staying. Great job Steve on a job well done!

One thing I don't know if it can be added (from what I have seen in the past 2 minutes): On the calendar, have it where we can click on the park and see what's open/under refurbishment/etc.

I know what I'll be spending the rest of my night at work doing now.
