WDWMagic AIM Chats

As of recent, I haven't seen any WDWMagic chats being started up. I know a lot of forum members (myself included!) have been very busy, and others are still trying to secure Internet access.

But I thought it would be great fun to revive the AIM chat idea (assuming it has died? At least I haven't been in one for a while) and open one up for a Holiday chat.

I was thinking two chats: one based on Disney (discussion? trivia? debate?) and another based on the usual -- never really based on Disney.

Anyone like the idea? Is it better to leave these informal, or would it be a good idea to schedule a general (albeit unofficial) WDWMAGIC chat?

I like that idea... I think a Disney chat would be cool :)

Also, since AIM only can handle a certain amount of people in chats, you could also think about opening a mIRC channel, maybe? Would Steve want to open an official channel, so that we can have a large number of people chatting?

Even if not, count me in for the chats... :)

It would be nice to kinda set up a permanent chat room. That way we have a permanent link that we can use.

WDWmagic had a chat room here in the forums... way back in the day... but that went away... I think there were all sorts of problems with it... so Steve pulled the plug on it.

I have not been in an AIM chat (or on AIM at all really) with you guys in ages.. but... I hope to get back soon. :wave:

I haven't been on AIM hardly as much as I used to since I've been so busy with school and work. I've only been logging in to AIM once every few days, not nearly as much as I did over the summer. :(

I think you should make an IRC room because everyone can that on that a lot easier. I recommend irc.irchighway.net since thats the server where the people that go to #d-c are

The only problem with IRC is the complicated setup. I tried to get on #d-c once, but gave up in frustration. I'll probably try again later when I have some spare time on me.

I don't even know what an "irc chatroom" is, and wouldn't begin to know how to get to it, or use it.

But I do have AIM, where I am prberk also. So, if you see me on, feel free to IM me or invite me into an AIM chat....

I'm all for the Disney chat nights again. Maybe we could set up a certain day of the week and a certain time of the day to get these going.

Who want's to get this started. I'd love to take charge but I never know my schedule.
