WDW with a very large budget, what to do??

So my G/F and I have been dating for over 3 years now and we talk about marriage all the time. Well we decided to sit down and have a very serious conversation about it and we both agreed that we want to wait to get married until we can afford the wedding she wants and the honeymoon we both want since both of us only want to do this once.

With that said, shes open to any type of honeymoon aslong as it involves WDW lol. Since we've been a good bit already and will go atleast 1-2 more times before a honeymoon we want to do more then just the rides in the parks. So far we know we want 2 weeks in a Villa at Wilderness Lodge in the fall and the Signature Dining plan. We also will want to book a massage or two.

Heres what I know they have have that we might be interested in. The dinner on the yatch over looking the MK fireworks, a horse and carraige ride in Fort Wilderness, the many different tours WDW offers but we're not sure because we don't want "the magic" ruined.

What are some other things Disney offers that the avg vistor may not do or even know about? I would think they have to have other activities they don't highly advertise, am I right?

With a very high budget, what would you do?

I've done Victoria & Alberts Chefs Table and it was the meal of a lifetime. I lived in the area at the time and it took me 5 weeks of calling every Monday morning at 7:00 am to be the first one in to reserve the table 6 months later. It is always fully booked! Good luck to you!

I did the Wild Africa Trek last month and it was wonderful!!! If you have the money I would book the private tour and that way you wont have any one else in your pictures and a truly romantic time in the hut over looking the savannah.

One thing you should think about is becoming DVC members. My wife and I stayed at the Beach Club for 12 days for our honeymoon.

It was wonderful, but we would have saved money in the long run and still had a wonderful honeymoon if we had put a large chuck of the money we spent down as a downpayment for DVC. At this point we probably would have more points and be paid off had we done that.

Just something else to consider.

Good point. If we had put all the money we've spent on resorts over the years into purchasing DVC we could have a lot of points paid for. Still have those dues but you get the drift. :animwink:

I stand corrected! Here is the phone number 407-824-1580. The initial answer was a private meet and greet starts at $5000 and must be done in a ballroom setting away from other guests. I currently have a message out for an event planner for something a bit less expensive.

Oops...did I forget to mention to bring your life's savings for a private M&G? :)

Anything is possible at Disney - you dream it, you show them the money, they organise it. But realistically, unless you belong to the truly rich, special events are limited to what is offered as 'standard' special services. If you - like me - have to work for a living you don't pay $5000 for a M&G. Nor $150,000, like that business tycoon, for his special request to....:zipit:

Still, if you have a special request that you think might be feasible, one not too out of the ordinary, call Disney. They may just accomodate your wish at a doable price. Especially for weddings and anniversaries and the like.

I know it been awhile since I've been on here but thanks for the many ideas everyone.

Yea I guess money does talk even with Disney. Can't blame them on that though, its a magical world to us but it's a business to them.

That's a lot of coin for one trip. It would be so much fun. Can you get a Photopass person (a good one) to follow you around for an entire trip for pics?

If I had the money I'd buy the whole resort! Unfortunately I'm a poor college student and can only dream

I would definitely do V&A's, I would try out the Wild Africa Trek or the sunrise safari. A dinner cruise would be very romantic and worth it. Possibly a luau at the Polynesian which I had the pleasure of doing once, very entertaining and the food was great! Maybe one day for a VIP tour or the Richard Petty Driving Experience would be a nice thrilling adventure. Also, which no one else thought of, para-sailing on Bay Lake or 7 Seas Lagoon, renting a jetski/sailboat or something like that at the Contemporary. AND if there's anything left over I would try to squeeze in Cirque de Solei at Downtown Disney!

I booked an Illuminations cruise for a friend and his family a few years back. I surprised them by "showing up" at WDW during their vacation and kind of led them on a scavenger hunt to get their "special surprise". We all saw Illuminations from a pontoon boat in World Showcase lagoon. That was something different you might consider. It was pricey though.

BTW, I enjoyed the experience alot more than my friends family. It happened to be chilly that night and the wife wasn't too into the whole surprise factor either. In fact, she almost backed out a few hours before! Oh well...
