I was at DHS from around 4:00-9:00 today and it was packed. I understand this is the busiest week of the year, but this park really needs 3-4 more rides in it and it needed them 5 year ago.
We're headed to MK tomorrow bright and early. My goal with the family is 10-15 attractions but I'm not optimistic.

Never ceases to amaze me how you only read what you want to read. Go back a page and notice that I apologized for what I said and admitted that yes, people may only be able to go this week.
And for the record, I didn't say people were idiots for going this week. I said they were idiots (which again, I apologized for) for waiting in line for 3 hours. I shouldn't have put it that way. However, my sentiment comes from countless trip reports of people complaining how awful WDW is because of the long lines and inability to get into restaurants. It frustrates me because if they just did a little bit of homework, they could avoid those problems.

SSE was 45 minutes around 11:00, with M:S (Orange) currently sitting at 30 minutes. TT is at 130 right now, and I haven't dared look at Soarin'.
If Imagination hits 60 minutes, run for your life!!!

We use this ride on every visit to judge how busy the resort is, yesterday it was definitely a busy day

Studios were nuts today. I have seen busy on Hollywood Blvd, but today was literally a 12 minute walk from the wait board to R&R. Turkey Legs, Fairfax Fare and Ice Cream were stretched out to mid street.
The queue for Star Tours shut down the walkway and filled every available inch from Jedi Training to NY street.
Toy Story Mania backed up to the Backlot.

Never even went by. We had FPs for Soarin', which we got on around 7:00. At that point standby was over 100 minutes, with TT still at 120. Even Maelstrom was nearly an hour wait. And all of this with EMH starting up at EPCOT after Illuminations tonight. :dazzle:

Man. Well, I hope you're having fun nevertheless.
Considering it was EP, and the crowds were pretty well dispersed, the day wasn't too bad in the end. And with the park still adorned for the holidays, all in all it wasn't an unpleasant day. Now, we're headin to AK this morning, so I'm a little worried. :dazzle:

You know what you're doing. You'll be fine. Just get there first thing and use fastpass.
Local news here was highlighting how busy The World is. I would like to experience it just to at some point.
It's an experience, no doubt. Not one I'm sure I would try again, but we were thin on options when it came to my wife's family....
Today was interesting at AK, but in a good way. We arrived in the lot at 7:45 for an 8:00 opening (on top of morning EMH hours). At 8:15 I grabbed FPs for EE for a return time of 8:50-9:50. By this time the family had rode the safari, and I went with them for a second trip, because there were so many animals out. Both waits we're less than 20 minutes. By 9:30 we were over at EE where the Standby was only 50 minutes. We grabbed another set of FPs, then hit a walk-on It's Tough To Be A Bug. We've since ridden Primeval Whirl with a 20 minute wait, and they are currently on Dinosaur (which I dislike).
So, I don't know if there's a holiday burnout with some of the on-site guests, or the other parks are picking up the slack, but AK has been a pleasant surprise today.

Spent the morning/afternoon at DHS and evening/nighttime at Epcot yesterday, because we're insane. 
Still managed to do some 6 or 7 attractions at each though, even with TSRs... and that was sleeping in until 9:30. :lol:
We saw 120 minute standby for RnRC and 70 for Tower (and did neither). 30 min waits for Muppets and
eek the Backlot Tour. Star Tours floated around the 60-70 mark every time we stopped by throughout the day (still managed to get on twice in less than 45 mins each, though... weird). Spectacle of Lights were surprisingly unpacked for the first part of the evening... must have been the triple Fantasmic showings. Also, and this was new to me, they had converted the Hunchback theater into a makeshift screening of various Disney TV specials, like Prep & Landing and the Phineas & Ferb special, which I thought was a clever idea for some makeshift capacity. In general, although queues were being extended into places I never knew existed, I went into DHS on the same day last year and I seem to remember it being much worse then. The crowds on the main boulevard didn't even compare.
Hopped right on a boat to Epcot, no wait at all. Got off at Yacht Club and walked the rest of the way to International Gateway to enjoy the walk.
Epcot started rough, looked like 30 min. waits for Spaceship Earth, 20 for Mexico, and 45 min. for Maelstrom for much of the evening (we hovered around that area due to reservations for the Hacienda de San Angel - which by the way, was fantastic). American Adventure was a walk-on all night (well, duh) The real magic began after Illuminations, when the crowds left the park in droves - uh, you guys know there were Extra Magic Hours, right!? Usually holiday EMH look like a normal day the rest of the year. Nonetheless, virtually everything dropped to a walk-on after that, with Soarin' at a measly 30 mins. (seemed more like 20) by the end of the night. Had a monorail all to ourselves for the ride back to the Contemporary.
Quite a fine day, overall. :king:
