This topic applies to everything Disney, not just the parks!

Here's mine:

BEST
KINGDOM HEARTS!

The Country Bear Jamboree NOT closing in favor of a movie tie-in:sohappy:

And in that sense: The Country Bears movie(It wasn't as bad as I thought it was...I found it pretty funny)

Lilo and Stitch

News of Destation: Disney

WORST

Rumors of CoP closing next year

Disney laying off the Power Rangers' production team and turning it into a teen drama

Project Gemini Rumors

The way they are planning to implement Buff, Max, and Melvin from CBJ into the Pooh ride at Disneyland(Normally I'd take this as good news, but the way they are going to do it might cause some injuries)

Night of Joy
Lilo and Stitch
Finding wdwmagic:D
Pressler Leaving!!
CoP and Timekeeper open seasonally

Worst-
Country Bears
Winnie the Pooh STILL there
o ya and Treasure Planet

The cynic in me says:

UPS Prices

Downs Value for money.

But the real me says,

Ups, Getting to go in 2002 out of the blue
getting to go for even longer in 2003

Downs, calculating the costs,
possibly missing Philarmagic:cry:

Best:
Beauty and the Beast: Special Edition IMAX and DVD
Lilo and Stitch
Journy Into Imagination redo
Extra Magic Hour added
More characters in the parks
Kim Possible
Disney Treasures Releases
Primeval Whirl
Blast 2 Shockwave

Worst:

The Internet's ability to breed negativity towards Disney like never before. Not that I don't like the internet, but I'm sick of the negativity and cynacism on most other "fan"sites (this one really is not too bad for the most part).

I think it is to signify the heralding of the return of the 4 Parks (One World) merchandising efforts, the fruits of which are found on backpacks, t-shirts, stuffed animals, books, CDs, fast food vessels, napkins, etc., as opposed to the large Celebration logos used instead like 2o0o, and 100 Years of Magic...

4 Parks Merchandising

Thanks. I'm glad of that too. For a moment I thought someone else was noticing that the mdse all over the property was the same. We used to like to hotel hop and shop in the MarketPlace but a few years ago everything changed. Most of the shops all sell the same stuff. When the World of Disney first opened it had its own unique offerings and all the other shops had different things to offer. Now most of the same stuff is everywhere with a touch of individual hotel mdse. in each gift shop. Not as enjoyable in my opinion so we don't shop as much. The parks still have some unique stuff. There was even a time when the shop that used to be Barbies was like a junk shop---a little of this a little of that from all parks and hotels---that was the low point for me.

Looking over these ups and downs, I was depressed to see that that many of the "ups" were things from the past that were re-released, were "fixed" after being destroyed before, or were minor additions to what they've already been doing:

Early Entry
CoP
Timekeeper
Return of Figment
Beauty and the Beast re-release
More characters

Nothing truly innovative here. And one other big up - Lilo and Stitch - was offset by an even bigger down - the unfortunate massive commercial failure of Treasure Planet.

But there's hope for next year! Let's hope that Philharmagic and Mission: Space are two HUGE ups that bring attendence through the roof (except for when I'm there  )
