I'm heading off to WDW on 25th of Nov for 10 days, it has been 7 years since my last visit. I have tkts to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, and plan to see the Osbourne Family Christmas lights, is there anything I shouldn't miss?

Hi, reply from another Canadian ! I have been there before at that time and going again this year too ! Make sure you go to Epcot and see the Candlelight processional ! It takes place at the America Gardens in World Showcase. It is a wonderful reading of the Christmas story ! It has a mass choir and a 50 piece orchestra as well as a celebrity narrator. It begins November 29 until December 30th. I believe that the narrator for your dates are : Roy Disney 11-29 and 30 + Dec 01, John Tesh and Marlee Matlin after that and others. It takes place 2 or 3 different times every night, you can see the times when you check in and get all the info . You can book a dinner package as well there which include a reserve section for seating. If you get there early though , you do not have to, but it is very nice since you have to eat as well ! :)

I'd say that's about all, but I haven't been during Christmas in a while. EPCOT is a must during Christmas, well, actually anytime it is!

The Christmas atmosphere at WDW is absolutely wonderful, you will have a great time! Be sure to take time to enjoy how the park is decorated.

Sounds like you've got all the "Christmas festivites" under wraps now but I have one thing more to offer. Since all the parks close fairly early, my family and I really enjoy taking the monorail and checking out the holiday decorations at the resorts. The Contemporary had an awesome display a few years ago and last year the display at the Polynesian was out of this world! In fact, we took a picture in front of the Christmas tree inside the Polynesian (we had leis on from the front desk) and used it for our Christmas cards! It looked awesome! Disney really out does itself with decorations at Christmastime!

I'll be down seeing those displays from 12/8 to 12/11! Hope to see some of you WDW'ers there too!:D

Hey NADisney!

You say that the decorations at AKL are cool huh? Hopefully I'll have the time to get over there and check them out! They make for great Christmas cards!

At MGM, there's a huge light display (I believe its 5 million lights) nightly. It takes its name from the family that originally owned it...it was at a private residence, but the traffic became too much (lots of people wanted to see that size display), neighbors sued saying it was nuisance, guy gave lights to Disney.

Hey there I am absolutely with Horizons 38 on this one. I definitely recommend the Candlelight Processional with the dinner package. As previously mentioned, you do have to eat. Plus the dinner package is about what you would spend on a meal at the restaurant of your choice anyhow, you get priority seating at the show (go for the latest show you can as it is prettier in the dark) and you get a coupon good for 15% off merchandise purchased in EPCOT that day. CAll 1 407 wdw- dine to get information and make reservations. You wont regret it! Belle

Sounds like they copied the idea off the Griswolds

Obviously, Animal Kingdom will be all new to you. I like the Safari, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Tough to be a bug, Lion King show, and Tarzan Rocks. Also they have a new coaster in Dinoland that I haven't tried yet. At MGM don't miss the Rock N Roller Coaster and Fantasmic! At Epcot...well, at Epcot they just take out good rides. KIDDING!

Hey there fellow Canadian!!

Seven years since you've been? Wow you will have a lot of new things to see and do (was Tower of Terror & Rockin Roller Coaster at MGM yet?), have a great time I wish I could see everything decorated for the holidays! We go every April/May for the past three years (and next!) so we miss out, although contemplating going down to Disneyland as a compromise, although closer for us Westerners still many $$$$ that we rather save for Florida.

Have a great time!

See the arch between future world and world showcase. It great.
Go to every park and check out the cool decorations. You must go to the Country Bear Jam Chrismas Show. (That's the best darn show)

I think you should smile, eat cake and think of me - 11/25 is my B-day! :D

Other than that, do try and check out the resorts....they are even more beautiful than usual when decked out for the holidays :)

Things not to miss!

I personally feel that one should not miss the Fantasmic show (if it is still there. I also love the candlelight processional at Epcot.

I still have yet to try out the Turkey leggs. I have never even know about them until registering with these boards.

See ya all there at WDW.:sohappy:

Things to not miss- the lighting up of the Osborne Family Lights at the DIsney Studios. You need to be there as they turn all 5 million or so on, it is amazing.

Fantasmic, Illuminations ROE, and SPectromagic are also awesome.
