I'm guessing the AP that's increasing from $634 to $654 is out of state, an increase of $20. My question is why is the increase basically double that for FL Residents at $485 to $529, an increase of $44?

Yes the Florida Resident pass seems to have taken most of the damage.

We are never given any of the reasons for any increase unfortunately. Any ideas would be simply speculation. Sorry!!! Marie

You would think that rolling them out would be an easy fix to the majority of the problem. I wonder why they haven't?

Pure speculation.. probably because they aren't that effective at actually stopping the problem. If your fingerprint doesn't work, they just reset it for you. Its more of a deterrent than a blocker. Plus, its not that great for time efficiency at the gate, which is a significant issue at dl

I don't know dave, it seems that people still love to extend their credit whenever they feel like they can. Those same people buying a ticket today may not have been able to afford the tickets 15 dollars ago but still go through with it.

Shame the pace of construction/refurb/expansion can't keep pace with the price increases.

Anybody see anything on new price for Premier AP yet? I've spent enough time at DL each year that the math worked for me but I know the number of people holding that pass has declined significantly over the last few years. Sort of curious if they start cranking prices to slowly make it go away, or if it just sees another ~$100 increase like the last few years.

I'm not surprised by much of this. I was probably more surprised by the difference in dollar increase between MK and the rest of the parks than anything else. MK rose to about what I thought it would be, but the other parks did not hit the $100 mark. Not that it really matters since when you're spending $100's, does a difference of $3 matter?

For the FL rate, my guess is that Disney looked at the data and found that FL resident passes are more in demand and adjusted the rate accordingly. It stinks, but with crowds the way they are, Disney's earned it, IMO.
