Someone let the cat out of the bag early. I was going to surprise everyone with our Star Trek acquisition on Tuesday.
No need for Disney to try and destroy Star Trek, the mission was already accomplished by Abrams... but hey maybe Disney can get Abrams to help drive that final nail in the coffin of Indiana Jones, I understand they are still early enough in production that Abrams could give the franchise a coup de grace.

This. 🙂
Seems like a good spot to put a little funny in I’ve been trying to find a proper thread for.

If the guy on the right is supposed to be Kirk then the chart misses out on the probability if the person on the left is a female. If it is a woman, especially one with different colors skin like blue or green then the probability if 100% since Kirk would be all over her like stink on pooh.

Well...could have been much worse... at least they got the location of it being Disney World in Florida right. And they didnt identify it as being in Magic Kingdom. Or MGM. They could have gotten more facts wrong as we see most Disney topical articles usually do. Maybe this reporter has actually been to WDW before, and enjoyed the trip, unlike others that just repeat rehashed items meant to bash Disney.

Florida’s Walt Disney World opened to the public for the first time in four months in July after four months of closure and amid a surge of coronavirus cases in the state. But bad luck seems to be following the mega theme park as within months, the park has had to close one its Star Trek themed rides recently after it got struck by lightning.

The ride named 'Rise of Resistance' was temporarily shut down after a massive bolt of lightning struck the park premises.

The incident occurred at the park's 'Galaxy's Edge' arena, which is Star Trek themed.

What a dumb article.

Everyone knows Galatica Edge is based on the newer version of Battlestar.

William Shatner is still alive, 89 years young. Haven't seen him comment yet.

He would probably say the same thing he said to all of the Trek Convention attendees during that famous skit on 'Saturday Night Live' -

" GET A LIFE...! It's just a tv show! You sir, have you ever kissed a girl...?"

Now re-read that, imagining Shatner saying that to a group of Disney Theme Park geeks and overly obsessed vloggers!

and was re-posted by Yahoo news which also lacks credibility - double whammy. Bummer that Yahoo has comments turned off...
I’m so glad that Yahoo has the comments turned off. It’s the literal dregs of the internet and no one there even realizes that Yahoo only writes a small percentage of the content. They syndicate from various partners and then give you a news feed that their AI suggests you will be interested in. So, saying it was “re-posted” by Yahoo is not exactly accurate.
