Back on track now that the Glee Club has quieted down...
Whoopsies. I got a bit carried away with muppetvision maybe closing. Guess everyone has their “not as popular-necessarily a big e ticket but one you would love and defend with their entire life” attractions (bears and muppets for me personally. Three cabs is up there too).

Just added clarification to stuff, listed stuff as open. Planning an update on genie stuff within the month along with a possible DAS thing.

Also I need honest opinions, should I include stuff I hear myself or should I stick to rumors that appear on the forums from others?
I feel like you could, you’re a proper rumor mill news reporter (hope I got it right lol) with a mix of others, I agree with phinchin as a caveat. I think it’d be ok, but I’m not telling you if you SHOULD. I’d like it, but it’s up for you to decide.

These bad boys. They probably don’t exist anymore but would be cool to have back.

Really though, what ip could star tours be rethemed to that would draw in guests? Ik I’ve said futurama but that’s unlikely. They also can’t do the iron man experience. Not many ips can fit into star tours framing, and plus it’s good promotion as well for the other movies coming out. So realistic, nothing changes.
What other Marvel characters can they use in Florida?

I feel like Doctor Strange would be a good draw.

One more thing to add is that Star Tours got Mando and Andor a few months back. So they aren’t ready to toss it out yet.
Tbh I do feel it’s time is coming. It changed theme parks forever, but with all the more advanced simulators, it’s kinda short on the clock imo. I don’t think it’s there in 10 years at wdw

God I hope so. But I’m not sure if they want to.

Plus, (don’t want to make this about Splash) but killing another one of Baxter’s babies might not be something WDI wants to do. Unless they keep the one in Cali

Reportedly the sequel trilogy thing is why they're gunshy about any sort of further expansion? I say to keep an eye on Mando because it'd be the first Star Wars film since 2019, but that's in 2026.

The Door Coaster rumor actually had another recent revival where it was gonna go into Courtyard, it's like a cockroach.

The Muppets Courtyard just has an issue where it could be prime real-estate to connect THE Star Wars ride to Galaxy's Edge. But I sincerely don't see it happening for a whole decade+. I'd put more stock in Star Tours getting rethemed over GE EVER connecting to Star Tours. But I'd wager MV3D is forever protected like how Tiki Room and CoP is because it's the main legacy of a notable creator in WDW.

I sincerely don't think it's happening.

I bet more money on Star Tours becoming an America Sings themed simulator versus Muppets being evicted.

Does this Doors coaster rumor happen to come with a clone for the Hollywood Backlot at DCA? I’m more than fine with Avatar going into backlot / expansion area but in my ideal world they’d turn the backlot into Monstropolis and the doors coaster in the expansion area. Then Avatar would go in the Simba lot. I’d love a new themed coaster at DLR and there’s a lot of reasons Disney should consider it.

1. DCA has a grand total of two family friendly dark rides at the park. Would be a shame for the Avatar expansion to be a “lateral” move in this regard. You’d have to lose the Monsters Inc dark ride.

2. Monstropolis would feel much more natural in this section of the park and easier to blend in theming with surrounding area/ lands.

3. Don’t have to do anything with the Monorail

4. Quicker way and relatively cheap way to get some more bodies in DCA and more specifically that part of the park. At least in comparison of what Avatar would cost there.

5. Pretty sure Monsters sell a lot more merch than Avatar.

Granted, Pandora with a E ticket boat ride moves the needle a lot more but I think there is a good case to be made for Monstropolis in the backlot. Pandora would work better in the Simba lot.
