WDW RR Refurb Rumors

@kap91, don't worry, I'm like that too. I love to dream but I really know it will never happen.

Now, as far as the railroad, I heard there will be a forest theme to it. If there is, it'd be cool if you go under trees. Like in the railroad stop you are under trees. You get me?

Well, seeing that it WILL be in FL Forest, why not?

There are large stacks of rail ties positioned on the side of the roundhouse building. I assume for some sort of refresh when the railroad goes down for refurbishment.

Are they newly-appeared stacks? I'd think they would have to have a supply of track ties ready for routine maintenance throughout the year...

Wow, this is the best news I've heard in awhile. The rails had really gotten rough and distracting. I don't think we can misunderestimate how much this indicates there is committment to restore the MK. This reminds me of the type thing that happened to prep DL for it's 50th. Encouraged.

Yes, I remember that. Refurbs everywhere. Hopefully it's true for WDW, we need it badly.

I think that this train is available for the refurb

They could just be working on the track, also giving the guys in back to do some work on the trains themselves. Unlike Disneyland, which rotates five locomotives between four train sets for public access, the Magic Kingdom has four trains of which only three are ever used for the public. That seems like a good bit of strain to constantly place on the same three century old locomotives.
