So this is a so-so picture but the story with it is worth it (IMO).

This was the first time we heard the lion roar (okay, not the MGM Leo the Lion roar but we heard it clearly and multiple times...………………….way cool).

I'm so glad I'm not the only one!!! I was on an evening safari just last week (9 days ago), and as we approached, we could hear the male and the female BOTH vocalizing. And it went on for a good minute before our driver said we had to move on. It was SO cool. I've been riding the safari nearly since the park opened, and last week was the first time I'd ever heard them roar. It was really kind of amazing. I'm glad you got to hear them, too!
