That was mechanical shutter.

This was electronic shutter so I ran into the same issue you did.

I found out Eshutter doesn't work with the projected faces, something to do with the frequency of the light waves. Apparently the newest of cameras (Sony A1) with faster read-outs can deal with this in Eshutter. Of course the A1 will run you over 6 grand. 😳
