Yesss! I always do DHS as my first park for this reason :hilarious:

I like the flatbreads but sometimes they taste a little cardboard-y to me
Lately, I've noticed at the resorts the adult pizza is a slice (which is still good) and the kids pizza is the small round.
Have you ever noticed there are little seeds in the crust? Weird!

The sad thing is when you see that those pizza's are just frozen brand pizza from a company called Nation Pizza http://www.nationpizza.com/capabilities/pizza
The company is located out here in Schamburg Il.....

During the 90s, eating pizza at WDW was one of my favorite things. I remember eating the same pizza at Epcot (Electric Umbrella) and at MGM (Soundstage restaurant where Disney Junior is now).

The pizza itself was thick. Slices were cut into big rectangles about 4" x 6" (or so it seemed to my younger self). There was lots of burnt cheese and it was delicious. I really loved the flavor of the cheese.

Does anyone remember these pizzas or have any insights into what made them taste the way they did?
Wow I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! Never understood why they changed that pizza - bummer! Anyways. After a long quest to find this distinct taste, I ordered some pizza from Emmy Squared in New York where I live. I took one bite and said holey moley THIS IS IT. Yeah, it's rectangle BUT its detroit style! Different than grandma or sicilian based on the ingredients. I am inclined to think it was a similiar receipe. You're correct on the burnt cheese! Also the oil! here is link to a detroit style pizza and a recipe by emmy squared! https://www.hummingbirdhigh.com/2019/09/emmy-squared-detroit-style-pizza.html

and more about how it differs from a Scilian and how it gets that taste: https://www.pmq.com/the-square-beyo... protocol makes, before the addition of cheese.

I remember that epcot pizza in communicore. When we first visited WDW from england in 1989 we ate there because the other restaurants were really busy, it was the first time my mum had ever eaten pizza and she became an instant fan! After that she read through those kodak park guides to find other pizza places in the parks - I remember tracking across magic kingdom from big thunder to the plaza restaurant because Mum wanted more pizza 😀✌️

I remember eating at the Tomorrowland Terrace back in the early 2000's and getting pizza there. I swear it was Pizza Hut personal pan pizza's. Tasted and looked just like them. I buy them occasionally at the snack bar in Target. A Pepperoni Pizza Hut personal pan pizza and an order of 3 bread sticks... Yummy....

There was a futuristic food booth in future world in EPCOT near test track I think, we purchased a square pizza slice there. It tasted as expected 😀. I think they sell some sort of donuts there now (if it’s even open due to COVID).
