I saw it tonight and it was pretty good. It's nice to learn some new things about the parks. I liked the part where Abraham Lincoln broke and it looked like an assination.

BTW, for those who have seen it, what exactly do they discuss about WDW on the show other than Everest?

We only caught the second hour of the show. When we found it they were doing an extensive discussion of the pyrotechnics involved in Illuminations. They explained about the inferno barge, its creation etc. Then they moved on to MGM where time was spent discussing the imagineering involved in ToT, RnR and Lights, Motor etc. show. They finished in DAK where EE was discussed along with Dinosaur and the Lucky. My son and I were bummed that we missed the first hour.

I thought i have seen all the Disney specials but not that one. The info about the inferno barge was interesting. And how they put the Tree Of Life together. But i think how they did Everest was cool. The mountain, the track and the Yettie do not touch at any point, that is an engineering accomplishment in it own

I really enjoyed this special. Its one I havent seen and it was great to learn some new things about the parks. Like I had no idea that the Tree of Life was made out of an oil rig tower. Lots of great information and tidbits of science about various parts of each park (i.e. diameter of SSE, how Soarin was conceived, innner workings of AAs, etc...)

For those of you who haven't seen this special, I would definately recommend it.

Oh and by the way. Hi guys!! Haven't posted on the site in a long time. Couldn't stay away for ever. :p

Thanks for the reminder. I watched most of this last night (fell asleep @ 11:30) and it was wonderful! Such a good blend of history and behind the scenes and park footage.

Me, I immediately ordered the DVD! So it's on whenever:sohappy:

Is the DVD in HD? It looks like the show was recorded in widescreen format, so I was wondering if the DVD was in true widescreen format.

My DD and I watched it last night 9-11 central. It was fantastic. We loved all the extra trivia included just before the commercial breaks. We both got a little misty when one of the imagineers had a break in his voice as he talked about Walt's death. The picture of some of the characters crying got us though

It was very good, I enjoyed it. I love the little tidbits/trivia before the commercials that Modern Marvels does with all their shows. I also watched last night the William Shatner program on the history channel that was right after Modern Marvels, that showed how Star Trek things became reality and people that were influenced to go into specific career fields and invented things because of the show, like the cell phone.

That was pretty good. Lots of stock footage I've never seen before. The only problem is, I knew pretty much all of the facts they were presenting. So I didn't learn too much.

Thursday, March 23rd. 8am - 10 am ET and 2pm - 4pm ET

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! This is probably the only Disney Special that I've missed recently. This past Saturday, the Food Network aired Giada (whom my husband is in love with) hosting "Behind the Bash", chronicalling the 36 hours leading up to the big party on 5/5/05 at Epcot. It was really cool too. I'll have to keep my eyes open for this one to air again, and I'll try to post for all to see.
