Things like snow are are what most associate with the December holiday season, some don't get snow, but that rings true for anything you could put in. Santa would be out, because he's not associated with everyone's holiday....and the list goes on.

So, what might you suggest for a banner with "more holiday" in it?

That's just it. If we're trying to be politically correct, and I assume we are, we can't use the things you listed above because the "Holidays" have different meanings for different folks. Maybe it should be our "Winter" banner and then we could do one for spring, summer, and fall. And yes some of us don't get snow in the winter but snow is still associated with winter.

It doesn't really matter. It was just my observation and I not putting down any of the entries cause I like them all so far. I will admit that the animated ones have a slight edge with me. That's probably because I can't make animated ones. :lol:

You have a valid point... for many people, you don't get snow around the Holidays! :lol:

I was just using it as an example to show the many different ways we all celebrate the holiday season.

Personalizing your banner by putting in the things that make the holiday come alive in your mind is the reason it IS your banner. If that means desert heat, tropical rains, or even cows that climb trees, then go for it!

Hey folks, the rules where set in the first post. Don't confuse the conversation MSU and I were having as the rules changing or anything like that. We were just giving our opinions.

I agree with MSU, make your banner the way you perceive the holidays. The one I did last year had a wreath and Santa on it. I'm not doing one this year because of time constraints. This is for fun, so have fun with it.

Here we go! My simple entries are back for this exciting contest! (or maybe it's because I don't know how to work Photoshop that well...:hammer: ).

Blue Daylight-

As you can see, I have just used Walt Disney font, Frosty font, and the background texture is just Stained Glass.

EDIT: Here's the new and fixed entry!

Your background colors don't quite resemble the the "blue daylight" and "evening shades" RGB colorations, NemoRocks... I think you maybe made a mistake when inputting the RGB values... I dunno though... :lookaroun
