Why be willfully obtuse about something you have no expertise in when someone who clearly does know what they're talking about says something contradictory? It shouldn't be that difficult to just step back and say, "Ah, yeah, I was making assumptions based on my layperson's understanding of the issue." It's not like you're talking to a person with a history of defending everything Disney does.Ahh ok, you know...so what are the legitimate reasons it is taking more then 9 months to repair a door surround? My counter top guy could cut one out of marble in a couple weeks...lol but I imagine it isn't marble or stone either but another mystery material that is extremely difficult to work with and requires specialty engineering to install?

What part of poor design and maintenance is just making excuses for Disney? Why is it so unreasonable to recognize that hitting a wall with an ECV doesn’t cause the sort of failure seen in photos? It’s amazing how people take issue with me giving detail because it doesn’t validate their vague and even false assertions.Guys. There are perfectly good reasons why it broke and fell into disrepair, perfectly good. I mean, there are so many good reasons that it could be a decade before they finish. Or even maybe never finish because of perfectly good reasons.
Could it be reasonable to question why it has taken so long? No! There are perfectly good and complex reasons that my feeble mind can’t comprehend. I for one have no concept of time, space, or existence. I am not all-knowing, and I am therefore unqualified to have any opinions or ideas of what is reasonable in this situation.

I agree with you… though your delivery is so off-putting at times. When you phrase it coherently without such an air of narcissism, it tends to be received much better. What part of poor design and maintenance is just making excuses for Disney? What did I say that is incoherent and narcissistic?I agree with you… though your delivery is so off-putting at times. When you phrase it coherently without such an air of narcissism, it tends to be received much better.
Bloviating as always
The chamber of actually knowing something instead of blindly spouting vague contradictions?
Knowing that some things take time isn’t an excuse.
See, it’s easy to complain when you don’t what is even actually there
So three of those were in response to things just completely made up whole cloth. The third was in the middle of an explanation. You’re accusing me of being a narcissist as I give explanations in response to people just making declarations and mocking me for not just criticizing Disney. Now you admit that my statements are not incoherent (and my statements regarding a larger failure go to the beginning of this thread), so I’m a narcissist for taking the time to explain my position which goes back nine months?I’ll give you the coherency, that was a bit of an embellishment on my part.
Right. As always, you know what’s best and you are correct. I’m done with you.So three of those were in response to things just completely made up whole cloth. So you should be free to mock and criticize me, and not the actual information, but I can’t take issue with it?Right. As always, you know what’s best and you are correct. I’m done with you.
Not any more. It went to CA for D23 and will go on display in Palm Springs at the Air Museum. If these backstage tours happen, some would pay to see it. If they look closely Walt's plane tucked away is in the same area
They moved it to make room for the executive swimming pool. Not any more. It went to CA for D23 and will go on display in Palm Springs at the Air Museum.
That's at the WDW Four Seasons. When Chapek met with company shareholders they were wined , dined and stayed at the luxury hotel. They moved it to make room for the executive swimming pool.
Of course they will. Even though this started before Covid began and it's now long past over (especially in FL). I don't even care about the stupid water feature. But I do care that my trips scheduled more than 3 years apart were marred with that mess in Future Land.Im sure the pixie dusters will blame Covid so . Bc Disney builds everything else in such a timely fashion lol
Can you show me where I said that? Thanks.
Someone start a Disney fan site that isn’t just whiny whiners whining all day and night.
Nah. People who want to complain will always find a “reason.”
Yeah, no. And that’s not even a good try.The facade of Keystone Clothiers remaining damaged 9 months later is what we were complaining about when you posted these, so one could be forgiven for assuming that's what you were alluding to.
This thread was specifically created in response to what happened at Keystone Clothiers. A good chunk of an exterior wall assembly should not be falling off even when hit by something like an ECV. That isn’t people looking for a problem, it is a real problem that dramatically and dangerously presented itself.Yeah, no. And that’s not even a good try.
My initial post did not directly respond to any particular post, including one about a damaged clothiers or whatever.
It was a general comment about yet another negative thread full of “experts” and their pointless exercise of endless whining and opining. No balance, no fairness, just nitpick, nitpick, nitpick and armchair QB via the rearview. Are you all just really bored?
Disney doesn’t ruin my good time. The 100% negative wallowers on this site do, though.
Maybe find what you do like and have more positive discussions on their fan sites instead of dragging down those of us who just take things in stride.
Nothing is ever going to be 100% perfect. You will always be able to find something wrong. Why look for it and emphasize it? No one here is an aggrieved party. No one here is going to teach Disney anything. The parks are in obvious transition in more ways than one. Go with the flow or just go. You have no power to change anything.
