I'm planning a trip to WDW for September is the second week of September a good time to visit the parks with lower attendance?

Also is the Art of animation Hotel worth and extra $20 a day? Or should just goto the cheaper All-star Resorts.

Thanks for any input.

WDW in September is a fine time to go. The parks attendance on weekdays is pretty good and has always been a fine time to visit. The weekends are crowded as ever when fireworks or late night park happenings are going on. Still hot and humid but nothing like summer. Swimming is still in and a visit to the water parks a must. Shorts only and t-Shirts or light cotton shirts are needed. Still rains at least once a day. We love to go to WDW and out of the 20 times that we have been there, we must have went 16 trips during that time of year. Now the hotel I leave up to you and your budget. I would pay the extra $20 a day to try a new resort that I have never stayed at. Any way have a Magical stay and I do recommend that time in September.

We have been twice in September and are booked again for next year! we love this time of they year, the waits are minimal and the weather is still hot. Yes it does rain once a day, but usually dosnt last to long. Plus I September you may have the chance of being offered free dining (no guarantee, but we had it the past two years and booked it with a bounceback for next year)

I have visited WDW in Sept in 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010... for the past 7 or 8 years. I love to go the week after labor day and attend the first MNSSHP of the year. The crowds are very light and then hotels are the cheapest rate.

I am not fan of the values, so I can't help you there.

We went last year the last week in September & the crowds were much lower than they are this week! We also stayed in the LMR at AOA last year & I would probably pay for a preferred room at the all-stars or POP rather than walking from the LMR to the main building & back!

We almost always go in September. We love it. We have noticed over the past few years that there really isn't a "low" period anymore, but September is definitely better than say July or April. As for the resort, I am emphatically in favor of staying at Art of Animation over the All Stars. The resort features are much nicer, as are the rooms. Plus, you have your own buses at AoA where as all three All Stars share buses, something that ended up driving us crazy when we stayed there.

Another great reason to visit in September - you get the added bonus of the Halloween parties. An event we adore. Have fun! I think September is a great time to visit.
