WDW December Opening Hours/EMH

Is anybody else finding it extremely difficult to plan for the Christmas/New Year period when:

a) Disney haven't officially released the extra magic hours;
b) Something in my head tells me that the times of parades/fireworks on disneyworld.com aren't quite right;
c) Other websites, such as wdwinfo.com, then show something completely different from what is on the Disney World site.

Yeah, I agree- the EMH are on the website, but when you click on them, they take you to the EMH listings for Oct. and Nov.- a lot of help that does!
Well, some originally predicted tomorrow...we'll see if things are straightened out by then! (Then again, how will we know when they're "official?")

Don't forget, even if the hours are "official", they are always subject to change (which is often the case with the EMH schedule).

And while I wish that WDW released its hours earlier, I was actually pleasantly surprised to see the MK and Epcot hours go up a few weeks earlier than usual... Yeah, it's hard to plan, but what I do is make the plans based on what I figure the hours are likely to be, and then adjust accordingly if something crazy happens.

Finally, while WDWinfo can have some decent information, if the official site doesn't have anything up yet, then you can bet that other fan sites are really just talking out of their you-know-whats at this point... take all of it with a grain of salt. :wave:

Yes, I've seen hours change the day before and I've seen the hours extended the day I was in the park. The resort may not even have the latest hours for the parks.

We were in the parks this summer and found out just by accident that the hours had been extended from 11:00 MK closing to 12:00. We had to ask at Guest Services to be sure that the park wasn't supposed to be closing. So I've learned not to get too uptight about the actual hours 2 months ahead of time. The parade and show times are more useful to know than the open/close times. Those are times that you can really plan your day around. If you find out that a park has extended hours, just stay longer or go earlier!

I've also had the experience of planning in advance, then having the EMH changed the week we arrived. I realize that all of the park hours, events, etc are subject to change w/o notice, but it can certainly put a crimp in dining plans, etc. I hope that these stick, but I will be keeping an eye on the hours closer to our departure.

I love the Christmas music and images that play on the Dec calendar :xmas:
