Hi all! I am a huge fan of WDW, clearly as we all are. However due to University here in England, I am missing my yearly trip, and as such I am resorted to other methods to satisfy my DisneyWorld cravings. I have just ordered three books about Disney World...

The Walt Disney World Trivia Book: Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the Magic by Louis A. Mongello

More Mouse Tales: A Closer Peek Backstage at Disneyland by David Koenig

Mouse Tales: A Behind-The-Ears Look at Disneyland by David Koenig

I was wondering if people could recommend any other book similar to this. I know the last two are about DL not WDW but I can cope. I am looking for books about the history, construction and full of interesting stories, facts and history about the Parks and rides. I rather not buy books with lots of pictures, rather book with lots of text to get loads of info. Thanks for your time and help!!

Try Walt Disney's Railroad Story, by Mike Broggie. A truely excellent read. It has just had another printing according to my Garden Railroad mag:

www.carolwood.com

Imagineering, by the Disney Imagineers.

Also, Walt Disney, the Man and His Magic, and Disneyland, The Inside Story are 2 older books you might be able to find.

Mouse tales is my Number 1 favorite disney book.
Disney Imagineering is another great book, it has both pictures and loads of text.
Go to ebay and put in "Walt Disney World Book" and you'll get tons of books. (some of the book from the 80's are the best!)

I recently read the Walt Disney biography, by Bob Thomas and while it doesn't really focus on the parks or rides so much as the life of Walt Disney, it was still a great read. I'd recommend it to any Disney fan. It was very interesting.

My favorite Disney books! They are so funny! I have had them for 2 1/2 years, my uncle gave them to me for my birthday. I don't have a whole lot of reading time, so I'm just now getting the chance to read them. Great books.

Imagineering is also a wonderful book. It has great pictures and shows/tells how they built the parks.

I also get a lot of my disney fix by doing internet searches and visiting this website.
