First of all, snazzy.

BUT

Am I the only one who likes seeing where the CM is from? I always find it interesting to see the diversity of home states and countries among the cast. But maybe that's just me.

Very nice. But I am in agreement, I enjoy seeing where the CM is from, so small bummer there.
I will miss that part. Plus, you could easily tell who was a CP, unless they were smart enough to order a new one like me :p I also liked the "favorite Disney memory" on the 100yom nametags.

Will CMs at DL and DCA have the same nametags, or will the Disneyland castle be the largest and center of the name tag? I think it should be afterall, it is DL's 50th birthday.

 Exactly! These name tags sort of erase all individuality from the CM's.

They're getting gold nametags, replicas of the original nametags from 1955 I believe.

Weren't the nametags from 1955 just numbers??? I think I read that in Disney Magazine.

They actually had their name on it and below the name was their ID# (the equivalent of a personnel number). I don't think they're going to be exactly the same. I'll see if I can find a sample image of the new DL ones.

True, it looks snazzy, but I don't like the lack of individuality offered by excluding hometown and state.

The old tags for 100 YoM (I believe) with a favorite Disney character/film/attraction/store was annoying.

I like to know where a CM is from, you can strike up some pretty nifty conversations that way. As a tourguide at my college, I even got our school to give the staff of 75 tourguides new nametags with our school emblem, name, and the addition of our hometown. It's just nice.

Exactly! I guess if you see someone you know is from your state, you can strike up a conversation. Going to LSU, I can see fans from my school coming from a mile away. As any Cast Member knows, WDW definitely isn't lacking when it comes to LSU fans. Especially at certain times of the year.

State?! I have spotted from the same hometown, or across the bridge. It's great seeing people from your area and talking to them. A number of workers have had my parents as teachers!

And LSU everywhere. Um, I'd sure think so!!!
