So I am finally returning to WDW after 7 year hiatus. i went from 1991 when i was 4 until 2001 when i was 14 we went every year the week of easter so it will be a huge time shock..As we now are arriving late on June 10th and staying til June 16th.. .. I am soo excited it is my 21yr old self and my Grandmother, little sister who 16 and my youngest cousin who has never been he is 9.... i want to know all i can from this awesome community of loyal wdw supporters. We are staying at the All Star Sports Resort not by choice but because that what my aunt paid for... I have never been stayed anywhere but the Contemporary so i was spoiled:eek:. Can you help with Weather, Crowds, Approx time for going from All Star Sports to each park.I read all these must see or what the 1st thing you do.... I do know we are hitting the MK the 1st day which is the 11th of June and we there until the 16th... I am not one for planning but it my job to make sure we have a great time... so i am calling on all you wdwmagic fanatics to help me out.....

THANKS in ADVANCE

Weather can get hot (90+), we usually go in June and July. Plenty of water, sunscreen, and take breaks inside attractions. Those misting bottles always helped me. My son once had to go to medical at MK in June, the heat and amount of people at Spectromagic got to him. Once in a while rain can be a problem, usually isn't doesn't last long.

it's gonna be HOT! we went once during that time and i vowed i would never go again in the summer... but then we got the free dining for this september and i'm going again while it's hot...i just can't pass up that good of a deal no matter how hot it is!

so my advice (since i hate the heat) get to the parks early, go back and relax in your air conditioned room or swim in the hotel pool for awhile, then go back to the parks at night after its cooled down a bit.

All Star Sports bus times to parks (very approximately):
-Magic Kingdom- > 10 minutes.
-Epcot/DHS- 7-8 minutes
-Animal Kingdom- < 5 mins.

Don't forget to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, book some ADRs and make a basic itinerary to give some form of structure to your vacation. Make sure you take regular breaks indoors to combat the heat and humidity, and above all: have a great time! :D

Weather-Very hot and humid. 90 degrees plus with 80% humidity can be the norm. Get to the parks before opening take mid day breaks and come back later in the afternoon. Drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine and especially alcohol.

Crowds- Crowds will be heavy as you are traveling during peak season. Get to the parks before opening have a plan and use fast pass.

Travel time-Always predict for at least one hour to take Disney transportation anywhere. There are times when it will be shorter but one hour will cover almost any situation including the wait for the bus, traffic, etc.

Dining-If you plan on doing any table service dinning you will need to make reservations well in advance. Walk up dining borders on nonexistent in the value season, during the peak season you will stand a better chance of winning the both Florida and Georgia lotteries on the same weekend.

Must see's- This will really be up to up and your likes and dislikes. What is a must see for one person can be a cure for insomnia for another. Read through the attraction information on this site and get an idea of what you and your grandmother will like. When you get down to specifics of attractions feel free to ask. There are people here that can tell you the torque specifications for wheels on Space Mountain so there is pretty much no question that someone here will not be able to handle.

That might be my least favourite recurring misspelling.

you know, most people PAY for this kind of helpful planning.... haha, j/k

im actually going to be there the same time. we are also going to be using the "come early, leave early, come back later, stay later" method.

my best advice, is dont push yourself. do the must sees if you can but dont kill yourself to get it done. also something to keep in mind, the studios are having star wars weekend that weekend so that place is gonna be PACKED from friday thru saturday. we are choosing to avoid that!

MasterYoda said it all pretty well and I'm just going to repeat what was already said... arrive early!!! You can accomplish so much in the early morning hours and it's not that hot yet. If you find yourself tired and hot in the middle of the day you won't mind going back to the resort b/c you will have already done so much. We spent every afternoon in our resort during June - we always missed the hottest part of the day. We arrived early and stayed late (and slept in the middle of the day)!

*Warning* June is hot and crowded - plan your days accordingly.

All that being said, I had a lovely trip in June and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Be there at park opening in the morning and go quickly to the rides you most want to do - you can get a LOT done right in the beginning. We always go to rides that don't have fastpass first thing, for us it is Peter Pan, or maybe Dumbo if you have little ones, so you avoid unbearable lines.

DO plan any table service meals in advance.

Use extra magic hours, but be aware that those days get very busy at that particular park, so you may want to hop to a less crowded one late morning.

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World will give you some great tips.

Have a great trip!!

We always go at this time in June (exact same week, to be honest). It's not that bad, crowds or weather. We found that Sunday was a good day to do MK; last June we practically walked onto every ride. Our kids were in shock! We've never been able to do that! Hopefully we'll be there in June too! Have an awesome visit!

Weather
It will be hot. Bring sunscreen, water bottles, and misting fans. Arrive at opening so you can take a break if needed.
Crowds
It will be crowded. However, this is not the most crowded time of the year. Take advantage of FastPass and EMH. They will help a lot.
Travel Time
According to the Unofficial Guide, the travel times for All-Stars using Disney transportation are 29-39 minutes for MK; 36-47 minutes for Epcot; 30-40 minutes for the Studios; 32-44 minutes for AK; 27-35 for TL; 37-49 minutes for DTD; and 35-46 minuntes for BB.
Dining Plan
Reservations! Check out some menus and reviews of restaurants and make a list of where you'd like to eat. Then, get on the phone with dining. I really suggest making a spreadsheet of the days you will be in WDW with the EMH listed. Then, put your reservations there. It will organize you and maximize your time.
Musts
As others have said, that really depends on you. My family tries to ride it all at least once. However, we have favorites we do multiple times. Our multiple musts are Space Mountain, Buzz, Monster's Laugh Floor, TTA, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Hall of Presidents, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Philharmagic, Carousel of Progress, Soarin', SSE, Journey into Imagination, American Adventure, Test Track, Maelstrom, Tower of Terror, Aerosmith, Muppets, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, Dinosaur, Kali, and Everest.

Have a great time! :sohappy::wave:

Ok, we obviously went to the wrong parks on the wrong days b/c I was there last June (11th - 18th) and we were packed in there like sardines! Every park I went to was packed and I did MGM (yes I know it's DHS now:animwink:) on Sat. during Star Wars Weekends... now that was crazy! I will never do that again (unless I'm just going to see the Star Wars stuff). You could hardly move through the park!

Now that all being said, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going that time of year - they just need to know what they're getting themselves into. I went early to the parks and took advantage of EMH am. One morning, we walked onto 4 rides in Fantasyland before the crowds came - it was quite nice!
