Water bridge to contemporary has a leak

Funny enough, the pumps were removed just the other day. I drive under that bridge almost every day making deliveries and pick ups. This bridge has always looked fine, the water bridge by the Epcot resorts is the one I worry about. Looks like it will go at any time ( always wet and moldy in that area).

If they had to shutdown that road under the bridge for even a day to make repairs, its gunna be hell around 10pm for busses/cars, yet if your in the right area, the view will be spectacular

Leak Ender 2000 As Seen On TV is a sealant that works to stop water leaks

Or use Mighty Putty

Not unless you know your way around. However, with something like this I am sure they will continue working until it is fixed. There are too many implications with that road having to be closed.

Shipyard would patch it up real nice.

I doubt most drivers with their "idiot's screen" mounted on the windshield can navigate as it is… then try to throw them around on backroads. That would be interesting.

I'm at Wilderness Lodge now. It took me 1 hour 30 mins to get from Magic Kingdom back to Wilderness Lodge tonight, due to that storm, and 'water leak'. For the longest time, no one had any clue as to what was going on, then, some 'suits' showed up. Took them at least 30 mins to come up with the bright idea to try to use the 'back road' that runs in back of the magic kingdom to at least get the buses re-routed to get to the magic kingdom. Someone came around and said, they are working on getting something set up to route everyone using the 'back roads', then the rain stopped, and finally, the road re-opened. One would have thought they would have had a back up plan in place long before this. Just goes to show ya, the wheels of 'problem solving' today in corporate America run very slowly :)

Well there's some problems with taking guests through the backroads, mainly a lot of un-magical backstage stuff, that might be why they were hesitant.

This isn't the only water bridge on property to have had a leaking problem. The water bridge backstage at Epcot (between France and UK) was a leaking for quite a while. I believe it was looking fairly dry the last time I had the opportunity to be there.

Yes
I was told by a manager tonight that it doesn't have a leak, but the pumps are having problems and need repair, so when it rains, the road floods and the water isn't being pumped back into the lagoon like it should be. They have been working on it at night trying to fix it.

Just buy a new pump.

Just buy a new pump.

Only if it were that simple.

Many pumps are sized for a certian size sump and outfall pipe. Depending on the age, newer pumps may not fit correctly. Also, pumps are sized for a specific rain event, anything larger will cause a backup and flooding. Considering the waterbridge/roadway location to the lagoon, I wouldn't be surprised if they also get groundwater infiltration. Which means the sump is always full and the pumps are constantly working.
