Every year we go through this. A big announcement is announced and it's the marketing campaign. Every year I hope it isn't. Every year it is. From a business perspective it's smart. But it sure irritates me.

So in summary:

1. Disney now want us to provide all the content for their commercials.

2. They are going to display photos on the castle at WDW and Small World at DL

3. They have a new song that isn't very good.

4. None of that presentation should ever have been made public. Disney really need to look at how Steve Jobs and Apple do things - the difference is night and day.

Wow, this was a huge waste of my time. Learned nothing new at all except just how stupid Disney can be with their promotional dollars. Oiy.

Would you rather have that or a nice big pink birthday cake with candles and sweets?
lol to be honest maybe it was because I was so young when it happened but I never had a problem with the cake. At least it was taken down eventually unlike the sorcerer's hat. And yes, that was a huge waste of my time..now it's time to head out to the parks for the day so I can "start making memories"

Wow...what a waste of time. From what I've taken from this is they want me to sit and watch a bunch of people I don't know on the castle. Woohoo. I can go to the mall to see a bunch of people I don't know. Good thing I wasted a half hour of my day to sit around for that. That was almost as good as The Decision: The LeBron James Story.

This is an actual quote from their PR website:

"A just-released survey of U.S. and Canadian families conducted for Disney Parks by Ypartnership, a noted research firm that tracks consumer insights and trends in travel, showed that vacation memories hold a special place in family history. "

Really?! How much money did they actually PAY for that info??

Why would we want to see other guests pictures on the buildings?

Exactly. I just don't get the point. You're in Walt Disney World, if you just look around you can see families making memories everywhere you turn. What's the point in projecting it on the castle? I'm not a negative person or a Disney basher at all, but this is the stupidest thing I've heard from them.

No as bad as it was, it couldn't top "The Decision."

Pirates, Princesses, Celebrations, Memories, Magic, the same repackaged ultra branded world of Disney Parks for nearly 10 years. Walt would be bored to tears if he saw how slow his parks division was progressing, especially with Harry Potter nearby.
