Clearly this was a message aimed at a rather cynical and calculating audience of financial analysts, marketing analysts and business reporters. This was not something ready for prime time, nor aimed at the general public or emotionally invested Disney fans.

These types of presentations are routine for many industries, and they work for the people invited to be in the room for the presentation, but... Probably the wrong decision to stream this publicly and hype it on the Disney Parks Blog beforehand. Clearly they don't know their audience well in choosing to invite Parks Blog participants to view this.

None of the info was new, only confirmation of things widely rumored on message boards for weeks. A new marketing campaign for 2011; whoop-de-doo.

Arnold Scchwarzenegger is now on stage. Part of the new celebration will be an event called "Disney Recall". You no longer have to go through the struggles of airport security or finding a sitter for your dog. For the same price as a 7 Day Magic Your Way Deluxe Package, you can have a memory implant installed that will seem as real as any memory you've ever experienced.

I bow to the master!

Are you kidding me? They increased prices drastically, food is more expensive than ever, and we get a new memories campaign as a "big announcement". Give me a BREAK man. If they are going to increase prices, the least they can do is announce at least one new attraction EVERY YEAR.

Increase prices and reduce the cost of your next marketing campaign. Instead of hiring people to shoot commercials, actors/models to take photos, they get people to submit their photos and videos and use them as marketing materials. So, now everyone is paying higher prices for reduced quality and at the same time providing Disney with all the marketing material they need at no cost. Tacky.

And I have a feeling that all of the people that tuned in on the blog will voice these sentiments as well. If we have learned anything, people don't hold back on that blog (and surprisingly Disney lets a lot of it go).

I simply could not have said it any better.

This is not what I thought it would be. You would think with Disney's expertise in imagination, they could come up with something better then this.

Mr. Jobs, the largest Disney stock holder (thank you Pixar), needs to give them some tips on presentations.

Sure, if you want to hear about the iMouse at the iWorld. Or perhaps mention the iCastle, The Haunted iMansion and even It's A Small iWorld! .. it would be a whole new event! Jobs sayeth and so it shall be!
