*** warning - homewood suites lake buena vista ***

I just found out that the hotel I booked, through HILTON, will not be finished and not I do NOT have a place to stay... I booked the Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista back in Jan. I have a credit card backed confirmed reservation. When I went to re-confirm the resv., I was told that they do not open until May 8th. Hilton and Homewood Suites NEVER bothered to tell me that the hotel was not finished.. I literally could have showed up on April 4th with no place to stay... during one of the busiest weeks at Disney.

So if anybody has reservations to the Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista from April 1 to May 8th, you better start looking for alternate plans. As of 72 hours, Hilton has done NOTHING for me.

Boycott All Hilton Hotels!

Good thing you re-confirmed the reservation and found out. So, what did you do next?

You DID find a place to stay, right?

weird, when I went to the Hilton website and requested a room for the date you say, I got a message "Opening soon"

another click on the hotel led to this message:

"This hotel will be joining the Hilton Family soon and is presently accepting reservations for arrival May 8, 2009 and beyond."

It is unfortunate that a mistake was made, but I don't see any reason to boycott all Hilton properties. There's still time to make another reservation.

I wonder why the OP never came back with a follow-up post. Perhaps Hilton rectified the situation, and doesn't deserve the call to boycott?

I am betting this is the case. I have worked for Hilton and I can assure everyone that if you call central reservations with a problem like this, your inconvenience will be OVER compensated.

The fact that the OP has only "1" post and the BOYCOTT ALL HILTON HOTELS in bright red tells me that this is infact probably an anti-Hilton Hotels thing. I am thinking a former, disgruntled employee.
