Hey just curious if anyone knows what will happen to Walt's plane as the redevelopment of HS ramps up?
Also, it looks like Eastern Airlines is back in business, now with Toy story land coming to HS, can we get Buzz Lightyear's space ranger spin converted back to a modern "If you had wings" sponsored again by Eastern? Just a thought!

No idea what will happen to the plane but if I had to guess I'd say it will be relocated and probably restored to museum quality.

As for buzz regressing back to If you had wings, it's just not going to happen.

Eastern Airlines is back? Wow, that's a surprise, but don't look for them to return as a sponsor at Walt Disney World because they didn't exactly exit the market with the most wholesome reputation. From 1983 to 1985, during the time "If You Had Wings" was running in the Magic Kingdom park, thousands of pounds of cocaine were discovered on several Eastern Airline flights and U.S. Customs ended up hitting the airline with a fine of over $1.3 million dollars. Check this link for the story which speaks of over 24 cocaine seizures on Eastern Airline jets in areas not accessible to passengers : http://articles.latimes.com/1985-08-30/news/mn-25227_1_eastern-airlines By 1986, some 22 Eastern Airlines cargo and baggage handlers were indicted in federal court. http://www.nytimes.com/1986/09/27/us/us-indicts-22-at-eastern-air-on-drug-counts.html

Maybe Old Eastern Airlines could sponsor a smuggler's attraction in the New Star Wars Land. . .

As far as I understand, the new Eastern Airlines is currently only a charter service and a long ways away from being in a corporate position of sponsoring a major attraction. That being said, it is a nice thought of them being a sponsor for a "If you had wings" type attraction. Anything to add or replace to the current line-up of Tomorrowland would be a plus to me.

This. The new Eastern currently has a staggering 3 planes and plans to have less than 50 in the future. In addition, they have very few routes as of now. Not the Eastern Air of 1972 by a long shot.

Even if this new Eastern was the size of say, American Airlines, Toy Story is too popular a franchise to replace with something that's already been there twice.

Wow, I used to be an Eastern frequent flyer. They start a regular schedule this year focusing on Latin America. Very cool. Although it might be competition for my Southwest friends.
