Does anyone know what the next series of the walt disney treasures collection will be?

On ultimatedisney.com, they say:

Chronological Donald Volume 2 (1942-1948)
Disney Rarities (unknown content)
Legendary Heroes ("Swamp Fox" episodes)
Spin and Marty (from the MMC)

Hope that helps.

Can't wait for "Spin and Marty"! Great series. Do they have a release date yet?

As for buying the old ones, I would try www.disneyvideos.com or Amazon, although I have always thought that WDW should have collectors' type of store, with all the hard-to-find titles. I mean, where else would you find a perfect market for selling things to Disneyphiles?

Thank you.:)
and um,do they still sell some of the earlier releases in the WDW area?

I saw Tomorrowland (which I bought) and Mickey Mouse in Black and White Volume 2 when I went in May. I think they also had the Mickey Mouse Club.

amazon.com also has some in stock.

Finally spin and marty. I wonder how much of the series it will actually have. I loved those episodes. Now all I need is the Zorro series and everything will be OK.

December 6 is the release date. Oddly, at a Barnes & Noble in Mobile, AL yesterday, the clerk said he couldn't even pre-order them. I guess we will just have to see what shows up on Tuesday.

I'm curious to see how they handle the Spin & Marty's on DVD. Will they present each short episode complete with its original opening credits and music, along with a recap of the last episode and ending on scenes from the next one - OR - will they eliminate the redundancy of all that by just cutting it as one continuous story?

I'm guessing it will be the former - all openings, credits, recaps, and previews included. It's the only way to really present them in their original form, but it will make them a little harder to watch that way. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday!

Ultimatedisney.com has already posted a review of Rarities - I expect Spin & Marty will not be far behind. I am sure that will indicate exactly what the dvd contains.

I cant wait for the Rarities collection. I heard it's going to have things like "Whats the Truth about Mother Goose" and such. I loved that cartoon. It was entertaining and educational at the same time.

Wow! I almost forgot about these videos being released. Woo-hoo. Tomorrow's the day!

Spin and Marty is a really well-done series for kids, especially boys, in my opinion. And I think that the stories, which take place on a dude ranch and involve growing up and learning to get along, are universal stories that I would still recommend to kids today (despite the black-and-white picture). So, if you have never seen it, I suggest you give it a try.

I got mine today. Well...except Donald Vol.2 It was not at the Best Buy I went to so I will try a different one tonight.

I feel as soon as they come out I need to get them otherwise they are gone within hours or days! :)

Take care,
Greg

I bought 4 complete sets (16 boxes) at Sam's Club. I bought 3 sets as gifts, and 1 set for myself. I was at Sam's Club today and all these DVD's are gone! Same thing is true at all the local Wal*Marts. So, Greg was right. These titles are selling fast!

So the Spin & Marty's are presented pretty much as one continuous story. Even though there are no original Mouseketeer intro/segues, no recaps or previews at the start/finish, no full titles and theme music at the start of each episode, and no closing credits for each, I think their decision to interrupt the flow of the story with only a short, simple episode title card and music works well. It makes it more watchable for today's audience.

This is the kind of thing that breaks my heart. They never release enough so they can make them collectors edition. Some people buy quite a few of them just so they can have them, and others don't get them at all.:(
