Well, looks like even paying hundreds of thousands of $ to buy out the park for a private night event doesn't get you actual meet and greets, just "character sightings".

Eh, call me petty, but it's nice to know it's actually a hard rule and not a "screw you: pay up if you want a hug" thing.

Looks like Casey’s Corner! But that was my thought too. Infinite amount of money for a Magic Kingdom after party, serves hot dogs. Makes sense...and a better catering package.

Seriously. I wouldn’t mind a reception of Casey’s corn dog nuggets and some specialty cupcakes. Just a relaxed MK alcohol policy for such a party, because Yuengling makes wedding more bearable.
Not for my own wedding. But I wouldn’t mind attending such an event

We considered it but then said, “but then our family would be there while we are on our honeymoon…”
Decided on wedding at home, honeymoon at WDW!

I wonder if they are just sort of buying time to see how things go around the world. We've been at the doorstep a couple of times (ex - delta, omicron). Not trying to make it a covid discussion, but the growth in UK, China, and other countries may be stalling their plan a bit, yet again. The TSA mandate hopefully expires in mid-April, and by then we will know more about the impact here...
It's one of those things that's probably painful to reverse if they have to do it again. Although reverting to "Sighting" status if necessary should be more seamless at this stage I'd imagine.

They resort hop. I saw them at Wilderness Lodge in January. They have a special 50th van that they travel around in
