It's not wrong. The monorails are plagued with so many issues. They are long overdue for a complete overhaul.

... and things like this add insult to injury, spending money on things like this instead of putting that money to proper overhaul or replacment of the trains.

Difference is that something like this can be squeezed into their typical maintenance budget whereas new trains would require company leadership or an act of god to make happen

I know it would have been hard to do with the doors, but it would have looked cool if they could have made part of the stripe glow in the dark.

The locomotives are practically brand new. Strasburg completely rebuilt them.

They've been getting overhauls for the past 5 years with the internal components and a refreshed interior, new monorails aren't planned anytime soon.

I am aware. It is still a valid complaint.

do you mean the undercarriage lights? Those are different color depending on the train so it wouldn't match the glow part which is the same on all the trains

So either the letters need to glow the same color as the corresponding monorail line or the undercarriage lighting needs to all be uniform. Take your pick, Disney. Cause what you have currently is half-assed and ugly. A for effort. D for execution. An upgrade that downgraded the look, IMHO.

They shouldn’t do any little touch-ups until something completely unrelated you’ve noticed is repaired?

If they wanted the colors to match, they would match. It doesn’t cost more to order things like that in different colors. That means it was their decision to make the words on each train uniform. It’s their business, their choice. It’s not wrong because for some reason you think words should match an undercarriage light.

Exactly my first thought. Why couldn't they have matched the color for the lighting underneath? C'mon, they really need to hire some detail-oriented people.
