Walt Disney World The Game

Funny thing is, when I was at Florida, I had my own idea for a Walt Disney World video game. I came up with the premise while in line for a ride. My idea was actually more about you being an imagineer(the whole idea of being an imagineer was impresive to me) and your job was to take care of the park and the characters while the park is closed(sort of like "The Kingdom Keepers" book). You'd still be able to have fun just that you'd have to fix things here occasionally. I'd also thought of tiny things like dividing the game into four(one for each park) and adquiring throughout the game bonus content be exclusive featurettes on how they made the park.

But, obviously, I enjoyed your idea much better. I thught about it know, and, I realized that the last thing people wanna do in Disney World is work there(to what I've heard). I also liked that you gave us something to do in each ride. Much better than my "repairman" idea. I liked the idea of using a hotel as a hub. Makes things interesting. And, also your collectibles are better than mine, just remembering that( according to my experience of my sibling complaining when I'm in control of the DVD remote) that kids find behind-the-scenes featurettes boring.

Sims has nothing to do with completing challenges. Its main "objective," as you can call it, is to simulate a person's life. I would know because I have played the game myself.

It's similar to it in the way that you have your own room and are able to do many things aside from playing the games in it. Check on the first page for all of this info.

PS, Is there a game for Walt Disney: One Man's Dream? I was thinking of doing a trivia-type game for that attraction.

There is, and the trivia part of it is only a small part of the whole level.

Thanks. I like the idea of being able to run your own park. It really looks great behind the scenes, but I know what you mean as kids might not enjoy that whole experience. (but Disney fans would LOVE it)

Thanks. I think Walt Disney World really needs a game. They had the "Toy Story Mania" thing, but, I think they could do a lot better. I think that people who can't afford to go to WDW every year(including me who's only been there once[I know, wierd]) can still be able to get a taste of it in their own home.

Very true. Fortunately, Epic Mickey is coming out soon.

Each question has a 30 second time limit meaning you need to hurry as fast as you can. Fortunately each question is equipped with a hint. After answering a question, you will be automatically told whether or not you got the answer right and are shown a brief film clip pertaining to the question. There are three different settings for the quizzes, easy Mickey, medium Mickey, and difficult Mickey. If you lose a quiz and go back to try it again, you will find a different set of questions. There are also many backgrounds to choose from, and you are allowed (for 20 coins) to take the character back to your room.

Walt Disney World The Game- The Making of:
For the first time in-game, you are allowed to take a virtual tour through the creation of the very game you are playing. See concept art, video journals, and some very exclusive content as you see what effort went into designing this game.

I see you started this almost a full year ago, Jasonflz...but I wanted to say that I just spent a very enjoyable hour reading through this entire thread!

This idea you have is so wonderful!

I can totally see that you must play a lot of video games, because the games involved (the ride games and the minigames) seem completely playable in every sense.

There isn't a single part of this that I don't like.
I wish Disney would give you a boatload of money, and make this happen...because I so want to play this game!

Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D:

Level 1 (Cheap 3D Effects):
In the opening of the game, you get a brief cutscene with Kermit explaining that, at Muppet Labs, there are a few problems. Dr. Honeydew, while trying to perfect 3D, has accidentally released the 3D muppet Waldo who is causing a bunch of mayhem in the labs. Your job is to catch him. You can play as Gonzo, Fozzie, or Rizzo while taking on a few missions. In the first level you have to try and capture Waldo in the labs while avoiding scientific experiments gone awry (think Giant Vacum). After cornering him, you see another cutscene showing Waldo splitting into 3 pieces (mini-waldos) and taking off.

Level 2 (Miss Piggie's Big Break):
During Miss Piggie's musical number you have to catch up with a waterboarding Waldo. Chase on a large pond with your own jet ski while avoinding rocks and gigantic Koi fish. Bumping him 3 times will let you capture him. During the chase Miss Piggie gets disgruntled and will start trying to knock your jet ski off course with the help of an extra string yo-yo.

Level 3 (Back at the Labs):
This level takes place inside of a gigantic rotunda inside of the muppet labs with a muppet version of the famous Capitol Painting on the underside of the rotunda dome. Waldo is at the very top of the rotunda, meaning you have to catch him. Quickly strap up with a Muppet copyrighted Jetpack 2000 and head your way up. Unfortunately the pack's supply of bubbles (which help propel it) are low and get used very quickly. Before falling back down to the bottom and losing the level, make sure to get to a suspended platform and grab a soap discharger. It will help. After repeating this a few times you will manage to catch Waldo.

Level 4 (An Explosive Finale):
During a performance of a tribute to all countries but mostly America, Waldo has manage to disguise himself as a toy soldier and is commandeering a massive cannon, much to Sam the Eagle's chagrin. Your job is to stop and capture him. He will aim the cannon at you and fire cannonballs to deplete your health. Your need to avoid each blast and make your way to the podium where he is supported. Each time you reach it, knock out one of the podium's legs. Do this three times and you will be able to capture Waldo. Beating this game gives you 5 fast passes.

Muppet Labs:
Inside of Muppet Labs, there are several fun experiments to do including; Muppets Idol, a dance dance revolution type game where you need to get as many moves right as you possibly can, Dr. Honeydew's school of Drama, a game where you get to make your own muppet sitcom, and several other games including muppet characters. Each game costs 20 coins to use. Winning coins is not alway's guaranteed.

Lights Motors Action! Extreme Stunt Show

Level 1(Marketplace/Alleyway):
In the opening cutscene, you are shown to be a top secret agent who has just received a secret envelope from an unknown agent. Unfortunately you are ambushed inside of a large Paris marketby gunmen, motorcyclists, and black vans. The only way to escape with the intel safely is to get to the docks and board on your water transport. In this game, you control your hi-tech car through a series of obstacles. In the market, you have to avoid as much gunfire as you can as well as enemy vehicles. Fortunately your vehicle is equipped with two rocket launchers and a machine gun to damage enemy vehicles. Despite this, your gas gauge and damage meter run fast, meaning losing the level alot quicker. Navigate through the market until you reach a track with it's ramp down. Use the ramp to propel yourselves over a barricade of enemy vehicles and race quickly through the alleyways. Your vehicle is also capable of going backwards, which you will need at some points in the alleyways.

Level 2 (Docks):
After escaping all of the enemies, you pull out onto the docking areas just in time to see your boat transport leaving. Quickly zoom down the docks to catch up with it. You only have 3 minutes to catch the boat before it leaves into the harbor. Using the car's missile's clear as much debris in your path to avoid being slowed down. Even without debris to slow you down it takes a little under 3 minutes to catch up with the boat. At the end of the docks is a ramp that will help you jump your car onto the transport. The ramp is, however, loaded with explosives and bombs that will disentigate your car. Quickly jump the ramp just as the bombs go off, propelling you onto the boat.

Beating this level will earn you 3 fast passes.

Backlot Tour
The Backlot Tour puts you in the action of several different set pieces, allowing you to take part in the action of special effects.

Level 1 (Harbor Attack):
In the Harbor Attack area, you play a captain on board a stationary ship set in front of a backdrop of Hawaii. Like in Pearl Harbor, your ship is under attack by fighter planes. You have to protect the ship for a total of 12 minutes, commanding all of the people on board and pumping out water from "damage." You can also pilot the turrets to knock enemy aircraft out of the sky. (in the non-violent Disney way of course) Lasting for 12 minutes will earn you 15 coins.

Level 2 (Space Station Damage):
Similar to the movie Armageddon is Space Station damage. On board a Russian Space Station, you have to manage to keep the station stable for 15 minutes until the astronauts arrive. Unfortunately meteorites are slamming left and right into the station and the only way to do anything is to fix as much damage as you can. Damage meters range from Small/Medium/Critical. You have to fix the outer shields, stop the leak in the lower levels, and stop the outbreak of fire. Beating this level will get you 20 coins.

Level 3 (Catastrophe Canyon):
Here, you are trapped in a canyon after an earthquake. Your job is to survive the aftermath for eight minutes. The obstacle's you will have to face include; frayed and flailing electrical cables, a tanker that has a tendency come rolling down the hill, explosions, boulders, and a massive flood that swamps the canyon. If you manage to survive without being defeated or getting pushed into a ravine below, you will get 25 coins.

Star Tours:

Bumpy Ride- The game starts off as you are playing REX, a Star Tours pilot. While going on track to the launch platform your vehicle accidentally bumps the wall and is sent zooming through the loading docks. Your job is to dodge every obstacle including; passing star-speeders, work lifts, and the closing bay doors which you need to get through.
Ice fields- Another cutscene shows your vehicle ending up in an ice field. Dodge as much ice as you can without colliding into one. Fortunately, you can maneuver through-out one of the ice crystals by piloting into a hole at the center. This doesn't work for smaller ones, however.
Death Star- As soon as you can say "I've got a bad feeling about this" you are propelled into a massive battle between the rebels and empire. Your job is to navigate through the trenches of the death star while battling tie fighters and gun towers (look for the Admiral Ackbar cameo). You need to also protect a rebel fighter from getting knocked off course so that he can launch a missile into the operational area. After you accomplish the mission, you see a cutscene of a swarm of Tie fighters heading towards you. Time for hyperspeed.
Pick Your Own Ending- After the cutscene you are given a screen with a list of destinations to pick from. You have 20 seconds before a destination is randomly selected and you are blasted off.
On Endor, you have to navigate the ship through jungles during a major battle in which you need to avoid AT-ST's and the pursuing Tie Fighters. You have to help destroy an imperial base before blasting off again.
On Hoth, avoid Probe Droids, AT-AT's, and empire blockades. Here, you need to defend the Rebel base until all AT-AT's are destroyed.
In Tatooine, your mission is to pod race and make it at least in 3rd place.
There are also several locations from the prequels.

Beating this level will earn you 2 fast passes.

Indiana Jones Stunt Show:

Level 1 (Temple):
Starting off this level is a massive temple set which you have to guide Indy through. Pick exactly which path you want him to take. The temple area is loaded with booby traps and you will have to be quick to dodge these traps. (you play as Indy and pick out the areas to go.) At the end of the temple is the famous monkey trap that, when grabbed, triggers a boulder to come after you. There is no way to run from the boulder and it catches up on you.

Level 2 (Market Place):
A cut scene reveals that the entire show is a stunt show and you are still okay. The next demonstration takes place in the marketplace where your job is to defeat as many attacking villagers with the help of various objects (such as swords, ladders, pots, etc.). You need to rescue the female stunt double before she is captured.

Level 3 (Air field):
In this stunt area you need to face off against 30 enemies. While battling, a fire starts and spreads toward the airplane in the center of the field. You need to put out the fire before it reaches the plane, with a 2 minute countdown.

Beating the stunt show gets you a fast pass.

Sounds Dangerous:

In Sounds Dangerous, you get to use one of your most important senses to beat the game, hearing. Through-out the game you have to navigate through a pitch black room with only your hearing being there to help you. The mission is to find a hidden jewel before the 10 minute timer runs out. The room is full of many different dangers including; a lion's cage, angry bees, stampeding elephants, falling boulders, and other booby traps. You have to navigate through these difficult traps until you reach a small beeping noise meaning that you have found the jewel. As difficult as this level is, it can be easily beaten with good concentration and a fast pace.

Beating Sounds Dangerous awards you 3 fast passes.
