Expedition Everest has been eliminated and voted out! I'm gonna be honest and say I think this was WAY too high for this ride. I find the ride very overrated, I mean even in the picture for the ride on this tiermaker I found isn't even of the ride, that's the Yeti from the Matterhorn! Lol. That ride at least has a working animatronic Yeti. That's the main problem and flaw of Everest to me, it's whole centerpoint of the ride is legit broken and hasn't worked in decades. It has nonfunctioning effects, uncomfortable vehicles, and the Yeti statue which has a strobe light projected on to it. It's honestly embarrassing and really brings the ride down immensely. It's like watching a great film just drop and fall down in quality in the final act. I think Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are much better rides and roller coasters than Everest and both absolutely deserved to rank higher than it. Everest is good, but the layout is meh. I also think the Matterhorn is MUCH better, not only for it's impressive animatronics, but also it's historic impact on theme parks and for being a legend in all the parks! I love how you can't see the tracks that much on Matterhorn and you have to get on the ride to explore the mountain and see what it beholds, and the bobsled vehicles are just so freaking awesome. Plus, Everest is so much stopping to change direction and a ton of stop-start, Matterhorn cruises from the top and doesn't stop from there all the way to the splashdown at the bottom of the mountain. Everest is good and has a good single rider line, but I think this was too high of a placement. It just really isn't the most dynamic ride in terms of transitions compared to other rides. Pirates, Big Thunder, Guardians are all much better and deserved to rank higher than EE imo.
