When I was around mile 2.5 on World Dr, someone ahead of me recognized her, called out her name, and everyone started yelling and cheering (she was probably around 9.5). She turned and waved with a huge smile on her face. Dressed as Joy, and looked like she was having an absolute blast. What an accomplishment!
That's about where I saw her I think. They had a light on her. Camera?

I’m home. Great weekend.
I will say there were two huge noticeable differences:

1. With the earlier race start of 5 compared to 530, I ran through all parks before they were opened. I used to enjoy running through DHS and Epcot with tons of fanfare from park patrons.
2. additionally, the lack of cultural CMs in Epcot was noticed. There were no flag waving partiers representing each nation cheering like crazy. Epcot used to be full of energy at the end of the course. This year it was dead and quiet.

Not sure I understand what you mean?
The conventional method of taking a drink on the run is to pinch the paper cup to make a funnel or sorts and gulp it down. The power are was in hard plastic, wide mouth cups making it difficult to drink. After the first few stops, rather than splashing myself with power are, I poured our the water, poured the power are in the paper cup and drank it that way.

Gotcha. Didn’t really notice that you had written plastic rather than paper and had focused on the word cup. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Perhaps they weren't supplied with the blue Powerade cups this race?

I remember the first few stops during the marathon they had the regular Powerade cups and I think all of the stops during the half had them. I think they just ran out at some point. Who knows what decision making went into it, my guess is probably not more than telling an intern to locate 100,000 small cups and then getting whatever they got 😁
