With registration drawing near, I have started to think about my plan for registration day. This includes looking at pervious year’s events to gauge how difficult it may be to secure a bib. As last year’s marathon weekend was an anniversary it seemed like it was a mess to register for in person races. It also seemed that many people didn’t get what they wanted. With that in mind, I thought it might be best to come up with a back up plan just in case I cannot secure the challenge I am after.

My first priority is Dopey, this is my first marathon weekend as well as my first marathon (or any distance over a half). I want to make it as special as possible by going for Dopey. Looking at last year’s registration Dopey seemed difficult to get into. If I do not get into Dopey my backup is Goofy. Goofy is not what I am aiming to secure, but as a backup plan it isn’t the worst idea. Here is hoping that since last year was an anniversary race that is the reason Dopey was so difficult to secure. I also plan on using a couple of different devices to register to help get into Dopey. At least 3 devices now, but that may change to be more.

EDIT: The only wildcard factor I can see impacting this registration is Coast to Coast as this challenge hasn’t been a factor since Disneyland hasn’t held a race in some time. Hopefully it won’t cause that many problems.

Does Disney have a 24 hr cancellation window?

For example if a friend gets the 5k, but none of us other friends get any runs... Can they cancel their registration (like within a 24 hr window or something) tomorrow?

Good luck to everyone trying to register for in-person Marathon Weekend today.

Last minute question: Normally when I register I am signed out of the website because I have many devices running. Worried that if I was signed in it would mess up the others. Is this correct practice or should you sign in to your runDisney account on all devices ahead of time?

EDIT: I have now signed in to all my devices I currently intend to use for registration.

According to my sister, she got them both the Dopey (my sister has stellar luck with the queue). My friend's cousin also got the Dopey. Looks like we're GOIN' TO DIDNEYWORL!!!!

Also we're gettin' our coast to coasts this year!!!!
