On my run this morning, I was visualizing running the new course. I like to think of myself feeling great; I like to know the course and see myself completing and feeling great. The thought becomes the deed!

But in that visualization, I realized the reason I enjoyed WWoS was bc so many spectators line up and hand out pretzel rods and candy!! Gives me a boost!! Think this can live on in the Blizzard parking lot??!

Bioreconstruct posted some interesting videos today from the first marathon in 1994. Registration, Mickey, and the finish line. My how far we’ve come!

A funny story, I was signed up for the first Disney Marathon in 1994. A "situation" came up and I was not able to go.
Back then Disney sent you your shirt. So I still have a race shirt from the first marathon.

It is getting to that time when I am both excited and scared. It is always a great time at Disney, but I always think, did I train enough?
Am I ready? Will the weather cooperate? Time waits for no man, and by this time next week I will be in the parks, putting in plenty of
walking and drinking plenty of water, getting ready to toe the line.

Just looked at the weather forecasts for the weekend. It's gonna be hot. Mid 80s Saturday and Sunday.
Right now, the weather is absolutely perfect. Ran a 4-mile taper yesterday around 2pm and even had my arm sleeves on for the first part of it. Temperatures are just on their way up this week - I’m also worried about the humidity in the 90% range. 😬 It’s funny how the weather for this race weekend can be all over the place - just 2 years ago, I had like 3 layers on all the way to the finish! 😂

Marathon weekend 2018 is what inspired me to start running. I remember people had frost on their car windows that weekend.

I loved it. I am from the Northeast. It was snowing when I left Boston in 2018. We were the only flight that got out that day.
I was in shorts and tee shirt in my corral, with the wind it was a bit nippy, but it doesn't take me long to warm up. The heat
actually scares me a bit.

Two years ago I froze during Dopey in numerous layers. 5K had 4 layers all the way while the marathon I started at 4 and shedded to two.

Looks warm this year. I enjoy the warmth. Might not be my fastest time, but I’ll be happy. Or maybe it will be my fastest.

Still two more days at school!!! Grrrr get me there :)
