Yeah....... I don't think TDO is going to cut the actual Christmas Tree and Main Street Side Garlands.....

If MK gets a New Day Parade that's small enough(in height)The full Garlands might return?

question for the historians, did the dreamlights ever overlap with any projections. Did they make the projections look wonky.

it would be nice if they at least mimicked the look of the lights in the projects briefly. they looked so great in person

Isn't it already? I see the odd house doing low-key projection mapping for Christmas or Halloween around me. Obviously not to Disney's standard, but Disney themselves are hardly setting the standard with what can be done anymore. And it feels cheap and lazy.

They looked fine the times I saw them, I don't think that's the issue.

Couldn't agree more.. I think that is the nail on the head... Cheap and lazy.

I remember it being unique and innovative. Now its just basic. I remember all of the resorts having much more holiday decor even 5-10 years ago.

My wife was all about turning our bounce back into a WDW pre-Christmas trip next year, but we looked at a few YouTube of resorts and parks from last year, and kinda lost enthusiasm. Of course then I fired up some for DLR, and that really just beat the WDW out of me. :-/ It'd be cheaper and probably more fun to do NOLA.

I'd consider DLR, but I know late Oct/early Dec is often about the worst time for weather.

They were used in HEA and it looked fine in 2019.

There is no reason the Dreamlights couldn’t return. It’ll cost money but not really that much.

So magickal. I can see the bean counter in the boardroom “it’s just like the castle lighting without the lights! Guests will get the same experience and we save a couple hundred thousand in decorating costs!”

Ok fine - I get the costs - but why not make it really magical?! Animate the display (you guys remember animation - right?!) Do a Christmas song every half hour where the castle does a show that animates all down Main Street.
